Hi guys,

So I had my medical today in London, Knightsbridge doctors and thought I would share with you how it went before we move to the June interviews.

My appointment time was 8:50am and because of the tube strikes I got there slightly early around 8:20am so I had a coffee and walked down from bond street station to 4 Bentick mansions (no more than 10 minute walk).

8:45- got to the Knightsbridge doctors at Bond street. The receptionist took all of my documents (passport, vaccination record, police certificate, passport size photo and medical questionnaire) and handed me another questionnaire to fill out whilst waiting in the waiting room. I filled the form out and handed it back to her.

8:55- a friendly male doctor (I'm guessing late 20's, early 30's) called my name and off I went with him. He started off by explaining the procedure to me and then asked me some medical questions. After that he checked my weight and height and then did an eye test. He then asked me to lie down on the bed so he can check my breathing and feel my stomach. After this the final part was my blood test. 1 thing he said at the end which I was surprised about was that they ask men to strip down at the end ?luckily I wasn't asked to do this!! BOS_LHR you may want to give your husband a heads up about this!

9:15- finished all the 'physical' checks and was told to wait in the waiting room for the nurse to go through my vaccination record

9:16 - nurse came and called me from the waiting room

9:20- I was missing my 2nd dose of mmr vaccine so I got this done with the nurse. She did give me the option of going and getting it done from my doctor but my doctor is away for another month and this would have delayed my visa so I got it done with them for £40. I would recommend everyone to check the vaccines they need to have and where possible get them done free with your doctors

9:20- back out in waiting room

9:25- called in for X-ray by the radiologist. I was given a robe to get changed into, was asked to tie my hair up and X-ray was done within 5 minutes

9:35- out in the waiting room for the final time and within 30 seconds I was called to the front reception where the lady told me if I had not heard back from them within 2 days then everything is normal and they will send my results to the embassy by Tuesday. I paid for my medical and was out of there by 9:40, 50 minutes task for which I paid £270! The price to be with loved ones I guess.

1 thing to add is the lady at reception did tell me that incase there are any abnormalities with my results then I should ATTEND my interview next week. My visa may get delayed until the medical results are sorted out but I should still attend the interview and not cancel/reschedule.

I hope that helps you all in knowing what to expect for your medical at London.

My visa interview is next week Wednesday 7th may so I will be sure to share my interview experience also.

December 21, 2012 - Went back in the Philippines for first anniversary.

June 17, 2013 - NOA1

November 21, 2013 - Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center

December 5, 2013 - I-130 approved via email

December 9, 2013 - receive hard copy of NOA2

receive email that case was shipped to NVC

January 6, 2014 - NVC received the case ( no case number yet )

January 29, 2014 - Receive case number, invoice and beneficiary ID number

February 7, 2014 - DS261 available online and submitted

February 10, 2014 - received an email regarding AOS processing fee bill invoice

February 10, 2014 - was able to pay AOS online

Februay 12, 2014 - AOS showed PAID on line/ AOS package sent ( one day delivery)

February 13, 2014 - NVC received the package

February 18, 2014 - AOS was entered in the system

February 24, 2014 - received an email to pay IV fee, paid IV fee, IV fee in process

February 27, 2014 - DS-260 available online, completed and filed up. IV package sent (one day delivery)

February 28, 2014 - IV package received at the "dock"

March 4, 2014 - IV package was entered to the system

March 7, 2014 - Received a checklist for AOS (GGGGRRRRRR!!!!)

March 10, 2014 - Respond to the checklist ( sent package via UPS)

March 11, 2014 - Package received @ the dock

March 19, 2014 - IV package and DS260 approved (via phone call)

March 27, 2014 - Case Completed ( called NVC 2X just to make sure, now waiting to be forwarded to Manila Embassy Yehey!!!)

March 26, 2014 - Early Medical (No problem however hubby needs to go back to St Luke's for the vaccinations once his renewed passport arrived )

May 9, 2014 - visa picked up from to go

May 9, 2014 - Booked flight for hubby

May 11, 2014 - Hubby's Flight from Philippines to USA (yahoo!!!! 2 more days!!! I will be with him forever!!!)

06/07/2014- Us travel doc site: Passport has been received from the consular section, and is currently being processed for delivery.

06/09/2014- Us travel doc site: Passport ready for pick up.

06/09/2014- Us travel doc site: Passport has been picked up. (collected from VFS office Prestige Atrium)/Visa in HAND.
