I was able to copy and paste to Excel and then filtered by India...worked for me.

That's always an option of course. I did Ctrl-F and searched for Russia. There were just two people in the list except me, i think.

Hi everyone, I have a quick question for the group here. We got the interview date for my wife's immigrant visa interview, May 7th in Bombay! (WOOOO!)

Does have to get fingerprinting done? Do we need to apply further for an interview from this website? http://www.ustraveldocs.com/in/in-iv-visaapply.asp

That website also mentions scheduling a date at the VAC - Visa Application Center (Step 7) prior to the interview.

This confuses me a little bit because the letter from the NVC with the interview date doesn't mention any of this stuff....

Any help is much appreciated, thanks!

No its not to early. It doesn't really matter when you pay. Its not activated until you land in US. But some like to get it out the way. So pay whenever you want.

No need for copying to a spreadsheet you can sort by anything right on the spreadsheet. Just slick on the column you want there's a drop down (its hidden until you move mouse over to it) button across the top. A -L. Like Column E is the country. Click on drop doen and Sort A-Z or Z-A. And it will sort everything in Country alphabetical order.

You are correct. You need to go to this website and create a profile. Then when you have the IL, you need to make an appointment at the VAC center close to you - Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai etc. This and the Medical should be done before the Interview date.ut I

Hi people. I have a question regarding the process of the visa after interview. Are their going to give you an option to pick it up or it is mandatory that it needs to be delivered?

Is the petitioners birth certificate required for the CR-1 interview? I have not seen anyone say it is, and NVC never asked for it but the London Embassy website says this under required docs:

Birth Certificate: Obtain the original, or certified copy, of the birth record of each family member (yourself, your spouse, and all unmarried children under the age of 21, even if they are not immigrating with you. If the children are deceased, so state giving year of death).

Maybe I am reading it wrong, but it seems to say I do need it.

Fingerprinting can only be done in Mumbai if interview consulate is Mumbai.

I myself tried to get my wife's done in Hyderabad but it changes to Mumbai as soon as you select IV as your appointment type.

I agree but according to May bulletin, there will be retrogression. I am also worried. I called yesterday, they said we have completed first slot for may and we can not guarantee interview in second slot. looks like intentionally they are not scheduling F2A people. most of the IR people who got CC after us already have interview date.

That is because IR gets 1st preference. I am pretty sure dates will not retrogress and you both will make it for May.. Make dua for yourself and all F2A people.
