Any chantges to the I-864 you need a new one. So yes you need a new one at interview.

A new I-864 AOS or just a copy of I-864 that our attorney submitted to NVC? we don't have a copy of AOS I-864 that our attorney sent to NVC together with IV documents. that is why i asked my husband if he can ask our attorney a copy of AOS I-864. so he can bring it with him when he comes here on May 3rd. and i also asked my husband to bring his 2013 ( ITR ) 1040.

8. EVIDENCE OF FINANCIAL SUPPORT

Form I-864 Affidavit of Support (AOS): The I-864 AOS is required for visa applicants in the IR, F and certain E visa categories, and follow-to-join derivative family members of employment-based (E) applicants complete with copies of your sponsor’s latest U.S. Federal income tax return (ITR) and wage statements (Form W-2s). Please note that your petitioner must provide an Affidavit of Support, even if they do not meet the income requirements and even if a joint sponsor’s Affidavit of Support will be providing all of the actual financial support.

The I-864 AOS is NOW VALID INDEFINITELY ONCE IT HAS BEEN SIGNED (this is a change from the previous requirement of being valid for one year). In other words, applicants will no longer need to submit a new I-864 AOS or new tax forms due to long processing delays between the date of the signature of the I-864 AOS and the date of the interview.

Additionally, petitioners (or joint sponsors, if needed) filing an I-864 AOS are required to submit ONLY ONE YEAR'S TAX RETURN, THE MOST RECENT AVAILABLE AS OF THE DATE THE SUBMITTED I-864 AOS WAS SIGNED (this is a change from the previous requirement of submitting tax returns from the three most recent tax years).

The actual signed I-864 AOS must be an original copy. However, faxed copies of tax returns are acceptable. The tax return or copy should be signed.

( based on my understanding, I don't have to submit new I-864 on my interview. just a copy of I-864 that we submitted to NVC and ITR ( 2012 & 2013 ) 1040. am i correct? )

Thanks much! I did come across this form in my search but wasn't sure if I should go ahead and use it - but since you did, I might as well tell my husband to give it a go as well! Let me know if and when you hear back and I'll keep you updated as well too! Thanks again and good luck :)

Hi Hunnymoon,

Well against all odds we did get a reply - it appears it is possible to ask for a reschedule using that form, although there is a caveat, here is their reply:

"Thank you for your inquiry.

In order to consider a request to reschedule an immigrant visa interview appointment, the Immigrant Visa Unit must have received and processed the applicant’s medical report from the Embassy’s panel physician in London, which can take up to five working days from the date of the medical examination. Please see our website at http://london.usembassy.gov/immigrant-visas/medical-examination.html for information about scheduling a medical examination.

Based on the information you have furnished, we recommend that you reply to this message once you have undergone your medical examination. On receipt of this information, we will advise you further."

So I will call the Knightsbride Doctors on Monday to see if I can get an earlier appointment. One thing to note is that the reply went to my Junk folder and had been there 2 days !!! ARRRGGGHHH! I could have called the doctors yesterday!!!

Best Wishes,

Chris & Silvia

( based on my understanding, I don't have to submit new I-864 on my interview. just a copy of I-864 that we submitted to NVC and ITR ( 2012 & 2013 ) 1040. am i correct? )

it doesn't hurt to bring one for the interview just in case they ask for the most recent ITR and updated I-864. I have read in some posts here that they were asked for it during the interview at the Manila Embassy so its better to have it handy.

Love is an unexpected thing...and when it arrives grab it with all ur heart....it may pass u jsut once.......
