Ok. We are filling out the G-325A Bio Info form and Marsh swears he does not have a street address or number.

What do I put for this?

In Jamaica you have to go to the Post Office to get your mail. All PO box numbers there.

In Jamaica you have to go to the Post Office to get your mail. All PO box numbers there.

The mail system is horrible. I mailed a card for a friend and it took 2 weeks to get across the island. And that it in Jamaica to a PO box in Jamaica...

:lol: Yes, it's true.....I almost had a fit when Roy couldn't give me an actual address <and I obsessed about this for weeks >.....I just put the road where he lived and all was fine.

Put the number of his house and the road that he lives on. Like if his house is the 4th house on the street...then put 4 XXXX Lane or whatever. My hubby's was the 5th house on his street and that was his address....the one we used and even when I mailed and FEDEX'ed they got to him...even though there arent actually numbers. The post man knows everybody so he didn't have to go to the post very often to pick anything up....I guess it may just depend on where they live...He lived in Westmoreland in the country. Goodluck

He continues to tell me he does not have a street name and we are both just getting more and more frustrated at each other. He just keeps telling me to write, Spalding, clarendon, Jamaica.

I could scream. Also, I already asked about this, but I will ask here again...what is the best way to mail a large envelope to jamaica. and how do I do it? Do I just put the normal address on it? Do I go to the post office and ask how to mail it? Or is there like..a fed-ex office?

I am so confused!!

Someone suggested global priority, and I know you can do that at the post office..but is it reliable?? sheesh!

This is pretty much the way we did it too. As for the mail.... He has to go to the post office to collect his.

That's what I did too when I sent him a letter via the mail. He got it. But, there would have been no chance of it being delivered to him -- he lived in Albion -- just outside of MoBay.

Yea I also put that. Living in country is the worse. Just put his name, city and the po.

When I mailed him stuff I used the "new" postal codes. For instance his address was 5 XXXXXXX, Sav Jamaica...JMDWD17

JM = Jamaica

D= Zone

WD= Westmoreland.....all of the parishes have a code

17= the post office number

I will try to find the link, I think I got it from the Jamaica Observer site.
