Would someone be able to please answer some of the questions I posted that I know aren't answered in the wiki?

To get started with the NVC process you will need your case # and IIN?

It can take 2 to as much as 8 weeks to get your I-130 packet from USCIS to NVC.

Another month to get case # assigned.

At that moment you can get your case# and IIN from NVC and give your emails ( Petitioner and Beneficiary )

Those numbers allow you to log in to CEAC and fill out DS-261 Choice of Agent.

Then step by step the forms will become payable and available until you get case complete

All this is based on the assumption that you are planning on formally severing ties with your attorney.

When you signed in they let you pay both the AOS Fee and IV fee? Because when I signed in they only let me pay the AOS fee. Just wondering if it is different for everyone.

I payed the AOS Fee and sent the AOS package yesterday as well (04/07). When should I start stalking NVC to see if they have received my package and everything is ok? lol

AOS and IV fees are invoiced at the same time for people using a lawyer. If you sent your package overnight NVC will receive it today, but they won't scan it in for a few more days. Check back Friday to see if they've registered it as received

AHHHHHHHH, just talked to the paralegal,,, she is telling me I need my divorce decree toooo??? for the IV package???? do I really???? NVC operator didn't mention that.. And I mentioned I wanted this to go out today or tomorrow.. she says I can't guarantee I will work on it today... #######????? OMG OMG I swear I hate depending on others to do what I can do faster....

UGH nevermind, I wasn't able to open the links on the wiki page up til now.. I am at work and they block that...

I guess I just delayed my stupid papers now. Dang.... I have my last divorce papers but I have to get another divorce decree from the county where I live... OMG this is annoying

Ummm.. why in the world is she telling you that you need your divorce decree?! That was supposed to be included with your I-130 not your husband's IV package. All of the paperwork pertains to him and nothing to you. If your husband is divorced, then he will need his divorce decree. Not your own.

It will be a good idea for him to have a certified copy of your divorce decree with him at his interview, but it does not have to be included in the IV package.

Thought I'd pop back over here and ask you a quick question if you don't mind...

Basically we are all complete at NVC and have an interview date in May. I'm just looking over all our AOS paperwork and getting my folder together for the interview. We received a checklist from NVC last month saying the income on the 1-864EZ did not match the income on the most recent tax return (2013). It was basically a few cents out because the Tax return only lets you round up to nearest dollar. We corrected this and sent a new I-864EZ which was accepted by NVC. I have just realised that my wifes returns for 2011 and 2012 are also a few cents out for the exact same reason. NVC did not mention these in the checklist and only reffered to the lastest (2013 in our case). Can we assume that it will not matter going forward to the interview that the 2011 and 2012 returns are a few cents out? I am guessing this will be fine as they are not even required.

If we are able to pay our AOS today or tomorrow, and send out the AOS package once the monies are taken from the account... and we use the 2012/2011/2010 years for taxes... does the stamp/mailing date prior to April 15 mean we're ok to use those years? Or is it when they input the AOS into the system (which could end up being after the 15th and we'd get checklisted for the updated 2013 tax information)?

We're right on the cusp of being able to use 2012, and I'm hopeful we get the form in just in time to beat the tax deadline.
