It shows my AOS fee and IV fee, should i pay them now?

Now is the time. From case # to case complete can be as little as 35 to 40 Calendar days based on current trends with no checklists.

Updating that I indeed got my case number tonight! *Celebrates* :dance:

Beneficiary - Applying for CR1/IR1 (but also played the K3 card prior to understanding it may be phased out.)

2013: July 20: I-130 sent (Chicago lockbox)

July 24: I-130 NOA1

July 24: I-129F sent (Dallas Lockbox)

Aug 2: I-129F NOA1

Aug 12: Alien Registration Number was changed, I-129F.

2014: Jan 28/29/30: - 3 transfer notices for I-130 and I-129F.

Feb 3 - Hard copy arrived -Notice of transfer to Texas stating Jan 29th.

Feb 10 - NOA2

Feb 27 - email stating I-130 being sent to NVC from TSC.

March 6 -NVC received our case.

Tonight my husband got an email from NVC with all the numbers - case, beneficiary and invoice ID numbers!!!!!! :goofy::dancing::secret::luv::rofl::jest:

We called almost everyday asking for the case number. I guess NVC is improving their system. Hope you guys will be getting emails from NVC soon. Good luck everyone!!!

Congrats to you too! I didn't receive an email, but I suspected something was afoot when for the first time calling NVC, they asked for my name, DOB, and petitioner's name. They've never done that before! Then Jim asked for my email address... so I was like ' ... does this mean you have my case number ready??' lol.

really so you did file separate. did you try to call ssa to ask if you're eligible for ss#? my husband called IRS and advised him to have me call social security and personally ask if im eligible for one. anyways so if ever we wont have our transcript in time for interview if ever, do you think the consulate will not accept an extension letter and W2?by the way thank you for your response?? :) can I just ask too what are the documents that is needed for an ITIN?

No. My husband filed joint.

Foreign spouse doesn't need an ss# to apply for ITIN. I don't have one but I still got my ITIN.

Extension letter should be fine.

I scheduled an appointment at the US embassy here (under notarial services) and I brought my passport with me. They made a copy and did a "seen and compare". I filled out form W-7 then attached the copy of my passport. My husband sent it in to the IRS. I think my application was approved 2 weeks later or sooner.

Our I-130 was approved on 3rd January 2014, and received our NVC case number on 18th February. But they gave us the wrong embassy, though we submitted all the documents for my work permit and resdeince in UAE. We sent an email for embassy change.

Then, exactly after 41 days (on 1st april), we received the corrected NVC case number and invoice Id.

Wow!! 41 days for an embassy changing process!... :cry::sleepy:

Well, made my second weekly call to NVC and they've received our file! No case number, obviously, but I'm really glad to hear that it arrived safe and sound! I'm trying to limit myself to the one call per week, since we don't have our tax documents ready yet to do the AOS stuff, even if we had a case number. So happy that things are moving along, though!

we received cover letter check list, we already paid AOS and send over, is this false check list?

When responding to the National Visa Center, please include the bar code sheet that came with this
letter. Failure to include the bar code sheet may cause a delay in the processing of your case. The bar
code sheet should be placed on top of all documents being submitted for this case and mailed to the
address provided.

We have received the information you sent us about this case. The next step is for you to submit the
Affidavit of Support (AOS) form and the Immigrant Visa Application.
If you have not paid the required processing fees yet, you must pay them before you can submit your
forms. You can pay your fees and submit the Immigrant Visa Application at ceac.state.gov.
You can download a blank AOS form at uscis.gov/forms. If you are not sure which AOS form to
complete, you can find instructions at immigrantvisas.state.gov.
