Folks, Could someone pls help here:

Wiki says that following docs required in packet IV:

-Original or Certified Copy of beneficiary's birth certificate, PLUS A PHOTOCOPY

-Original or Certified Copy of marriage certificate, PLUS A PHOTOCOPY

-Original police certificate(s)

Does certified copy means an attested copy (by Notary) of the original document?

Also, why do i need to send Original PCC, can't i send photocopy of the same ( i will produce original at the time of interview and i will mention it in cover letter).

adding to this, are there any specific timeframes for translation of regional documents into English also. I mean i got my birth certificate translated to English in April, 2013 (while applying for i130). Can i use the same document now also, or should i get a fresh translation again?

Guys I know is mentioned million times that we must call, but did you receive a mail for IV fee payment also? Because I mailed them, and spoke to them yesterday about yellow triangle, but in worst case will they mail me when it will be available?

Yes, if you gave them your email address you'll receive an email to pay the IV fee. I can't remember the timing of my IV fee email but I know my notification email for the AOS fee was generated slightly before the fee was actually available to be paid.

Yes, we gave over both address, we received mail for AOS and immediately it was available to pay . Because I called yesterday and Mr. Waldo told me that yellow triangle doesn't metter, but that's super news that we'll receive mail when IV fee is available. What a relief. Thanks

Ok so, I just got off phone with NVC, and was told that they have no confirmation of either one of my ENROLL emails that I sent to NVC and they have no record of my AOS that I sent either. Emails are read in the order they are received, no timeframe given for reading emails. She told me since I have not received confirmation for EP yet to mail in the AOS. Which I thought was weird because if I've already sent in ENROLL email then I'm opting for EP and cannot mail them anything. I was told that NOTHING can be emailed to them UNTIL you receive confirmation email for EP.

Seems to me that this EP will take longer than mailing in the AOS and IV. May call again tomorrow and withdraw from EP. I've compared peoples timeframes EP versus SNAIL MAIL, and to me SNAIL MAIL is quicker. My AOS showed paid on the 26th of March, If I had mailed it out on the 26th it would be at NVC already but because I opted for EP, I have to wait.

Thanks for your post.

I've also called NVC on March 25 , they told me Not to email AOS before I receive Enroll confirmation. Then, I decided to email Enroll for the second time.

Today I am planning to call NVC and ask for tier 2.

Thanks

Lukiduki

Certified means, you'll have to get the relevant document attested by the concerned issuing authority.

You have to send the original copy of the PCC, you will still have one original copy with you which can be used to get into the consulate on the day of your interview.

is it false or real checklist i think its real but how come my lawyer did that lot of mistake what should I do know do i have to resend all

This is a real checklist, it has a number of items called out for specific attention. You're going to have to resubmit the I-864 with those items corrected.

Hello all, i have paid AOS fee and received cover letter from NVC in email for AOS documents.

Could someone please help me if for IV documents, will i receive a different cover letter again from NVC?? or it is the same??

Also, we have a joint sponsor (father-in-law), he and his wife are already a sponsor of 3 people (thus making total household of 5). I will be 6th one. Could someone please update me what should be the income for 6 people in California. The first person he sponsored was in 2005, so should that person is still a part of household or not (because in this case total household size will be 4).

Yes, the barcoded cover sheets are different for AOS and IV packets. The rule for I-864 is that the sponsor’s responsibility lasts until the immigrant becomes a citizen, has earned 40 work quarters (roughly ten years of work), dies, or permanently leaves the United States. If none of those conditions are met then your father-in-law still has a household size of 6, so the financial requirement would be $39,963/year.

I got some questions about i864..

I made about $27000 .. last year because i stayed outside with my wife for about 4 months ..and didn't work....

But this year i am expecting to make double that ...so wat should i write my current income is in the form I864 .....?

and is this income good enough or do i need joint income ?

and

In Part 5 ... do i just put 2 in line8 ....if its just me and my wife ?

Thanks guys ...

The income requirement for two people is $19,663/year, so even at $27,000 last year you should be fine. Under the current income for this year you need to write what you're expecting to earn for the full year of 2014, so if that's twice what you made last year, write that. You should definitely include paystubs and an employment letter to reflect this increase in your income. Part 5 line 8 will be 2, yes -- 1 entered on the line for the person you're sponsoring, 1 for yourself, 0 for all others and 2 for the total.

hi saylin. im waiting for my case to be complete also. i already submitted ds260,iv docs, aos since march 26. is it possible for me to get completed and get interview sched this april or may? i really wana know if im already done to nvc this early???

It's taking a couple of weeks to review AOS and IV packets right now. The day you sent your documents isn't the day they're scanned in as received by NVC, so there's an added delay in there. Scheduling for May interviews has just begun and will be over in the next week or two, so it's very unlikely you'll get a May slot. Looking good for June if you don't get checklists though!

Hey guys, any idea how long does the NVC take to log the AOS and IV package into their system?

Seems like 3-5 business days from being physically received to actually received in the system is pretty normal.
