Roughly how long is it taking the NVC portal to show the AOS and IV fees (I am supposed to get them the same time using a lawyer) after getting your case #?

I can log-on, but it says "not invoiced" on the AOS and the IV is blank.

Ok, I feel like a dork, but I cannot find the answer to my question anywhere, and I promise I have read all 69 pages and the Wiki.

I have a lawyer. I also have a 261 showing on my page. I assume I just ignore it??

I also have yellow triangles with exclamation marks in them. If I hit "pay" it looks like I could fill out the info to pay.

I am perfectly willing to pay these invoices but I don't know if my lawyer has already started the process.

If you attempt to pay does the status change to "in process" immediately??? I do not want BOTH of us to be trying to pay!

Some people mention "locked" triangles. Is that the same as exclamation points??

Can someone explain the symbols? I just want to get those invoices paid. I gave our emails to NVC last Monday but have gotten no emails with any instructions at all!

i actually did,but got the same answer..its up to the consulate officer, the way i understood it is,,,,,NVC doesn't look at any assets or bank balance...they only compare your income listed on i864..anything below poverty line gets a check list for joint sponsor,,

I have income from my employment in Europe (I'm the American living with my spouse), but it will not continue after I leave Europe with my spouse when he emigrates to the U.S. Should I put my annual earnings on the I-864 and explain in a continuation sheet that it's foreign-earned, or should I put "zero" and risk a check list?

I have enough cash savings to meet three times the poverty level without any earnings, so that's not a problem. I just don't want to put that I have no earnings (even though I technically do) if it's going to delay things.

Any advice?

Hi, locked fees are shown before the yellow triangle. So it looks like you can pay (or soon) both fees as you see exclamation marks and the pay button.

And yes it immediately changes to "in process" right after you pay, so your lawyer would see that you already paid and won't be able to pay. Edited by MsGoyave

As far as I know, updates are not made on weekends. I am sure that tomorrow morning it will be updated and the AOS will be invoiced.

If you include your European income, you will have to indicate that it is foreign earned. It is up to the CO to decide if that income will count or not. Definitely include savings - especially if you can show that you have more than 3 times the poverty level.

Hello. I would like to know how did you send your package to NVC, by express service mail or just regular mail? I and my husband are worried bec our attorney sent our package by regular mail last April 1. I called the NVC everyday until last Friday to check if they have already received the package and said "NO". So we are still worried bec of our original docs. I saw your timeline that you checked your AOS thru USCIS? Pls tell me how. Thanks in advance. Have a great day.

Rose

Sorry it was a mistake. I was about to type USPS and I don't know why I put there USCIS. Anyway I already corrected it. I think regular USPS delivers like 2-8 business days plus few days before it will be logged into the NVC system. In my case, my 1st AOS was sent via priority mail (overnight delivery) and then it was reflected in their system after 5 days. But try calling NVC this whole week and if they haven't received it yet, maybe you can ask your lawyer a tracking number or a receipt/reference number or any proof of payment. Maybe you or your lawyer can call USPS to report it if it takes too long. Sorry you are getting so much worried about it. Let's just hope that your package gets to NVC within this week.
