i just looked up my lawyers website: http://www.silzerlaw.com/office_location.php and they are not open on Fridays! no wonder she did not reply to my email Friday about being able to send IV since it now showed as paid - it is ok because i have told her to send it overnight and i dont mind paying. So will make up the lost time.

They are good lawyers in Orlando- i used them for my H1, then green card and then my citizenship and now my husband. However, i did not know about VJ until this last case, and now i am all micro-managey. haha our lawyer does not seem to mind though so that is good.

My lawyer is off on Fridays too but he works on Sunday. He does have a full office staff who are there on Friday. Isn't Friday a big day for Lawyers? I guess not :bonk:

Hi have a few questions..im really confused..

I received my case number on 3rd april..gave over email address..

But I havent rcvd any reply giving me instructions..

When I log in onto the payment portal..the aos fee has not been invoiced yet..

And when I log in onto the online forms..it says the foll:

" Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please contact the National Visa Center if you believe that you have received this message in error."

Do I need the instructions email from nvc to start with the process? Im just confused..

Read the wiki linked in the first post please.

So package (with AOS and IV) has been sent and DS-260 has been filled.

What's next?

What should I be doing?

Nothing. Call and ask for case complete.

I would ask for a supervisor review and case complete as you want to use assets.

i actually did,but got the same answer..its up to the consulate officer, the way i understood it is,,,,,NVC doesn't look at any assets or bank balance...they only compare your income listed on i864..anything below poverty line gets a check list for joint sponsor,,

As long as they give you the case complete and interview date, then you already know you're rolling the dice with the embassy.

The worst that happens is they issue a 221g for a joint sponsor and you have to find one.
