I was planning to call tonight but after Jem's update decided I couldn't wait.... CASE COMPLETE  London is also still scheduling for May interviews. I have essentially no hope that we'll get a May date, especially based on the other UK members on the interview thread, but I had to ask anyway!

Case Complete on 4/4/2014!!!! :dancing:

This thread and all of VJ has helped so much with this entire process. Thanks to everyone!

Congrats BOS_LHR, like to see that my prediction came very close as to when we'd get case completes. :-)

Time to hope for a May interview.

Thanks so much everyone!!

One bit of good news is that NVC has really kicked into gear over the last month, even with their silliness with some of the reviews, they are churning out cases at a very good pace considering the load they are working with. Based on timelines, I am expecting a big number of completes over the next week or so! Look forward to them...

Hi Saylin

I have just comleted the on-line form. I couldn't do it from my iPad so jumped onto the computer to do it. I went into my timeline via settings and signature and copied and pasted the url.

Thank you and I didn't mean to say you were just 'admin'! I haven't been on these threads where you have been very much but it seems like you have done an admirable job and I am sure many people are very appreciative. I know that I have found the spreadsheet quite invaluable.

Regards.

You provided a link to where you edit the signature under settings; that's not a link to your timeline. I gave an example in the form of what the timeline link should look like.

Glad the spreadsheet has been useful. That was my intention ;)

I called NVC to ask the status of the case and informed me of case complete.

congrats!!

I was planning to call tonight but after Jem's update decided I couldn't wait.... CASE COMPLETE

Congrats #2!!

Case Complete on 4/4/2014!!!! :dancing:

Congrats #3!! yay!

Quick question guys,

If I get my father to sponsor me for my Affidavit of Support, and he lives in the same household, (in fact, he claims me as a dependent in taxes because I'm a student and don't work) should I fill out the I-864 put 0 for income and then should my father file the I-864A or I-864?

I'm assuming it's the I-864A but wanted to get a 2nd opinion

Hm, I've seen the other responses and I personally my first reaction was that he'd fill out the I-864A as he claims you as a dependent on taxes.

Ms. Saylin: I have noticed far too many people have very many questions on I-864 vs I864A vs. I-864 EZ. The NVC instructions are not very elaborate. There is a small section in the NVC Guide. Also, quite a few people are getting checklists for the AOS package.

I think it would be very helpful if you could prepare a guide or flowchart just explaining the I-864 process. I think a lot of questions will be answered and a lot of checklists avoided.

I know you are quite busy, but give it a thought, please.

is it possible for someone other than the petitioner/beneficiary to call NVC to get a case/IIN number? we'll be travelling next week so phone service will be spotty

Yes, I asked my friend to call to NVC, because it's expensive to call from Russia. You just need to give your birthdayts (yours and your husband), your e-mails and just give some instructions to your friend like don't for get to ask about case namber and IIN. I didn't have no problem with this, my friend got everything for me. They don't ask - who is calling. Now I know about MagicJack and use this app for calling.

Hope it will help you! Good luck!

Good day to all VJ members.

I only want to share our experiences from our attorney. We have sent all our original civil documents to him early last week thru fedex mail service. He received them in 2 days from Thailand. So he asked my husband to sign the AOS form, so my husband did it immediately and sent to him using fedex service. (mind you we paid 4,000 US$ to our attorney). We use fedex service because it is safer and faster (we are buying the time). As usual I did the follow u, I called the NVC 2x a day if they have already received the package. Of course they said no, so I was thinking why it takes a long time. I asked my husband to send our attorney an email to ask abt the tracking no. Our attorney replied and he said, there is no tracking no. coz he sent it via US mail. I and my husband are both upset. We are worried that they might get lost. Please help. Does anyone here have sent original documents via mail to NVC? Do you think it will reach NVC?

How irresponsible is our lawyer they really do not care to their clients. They only want money.

Thank you to my VJ family. Pls reply

You can call NVC until midnight Eastern Time... That would be 11:00 pm in Dallas. If you are not sure, you can always google "current time in new Hampshire" (NVC location) and remember that you can call Mon-Friday from 7:00 AM to midnight...

thanks for the info :) now my husband doesn't need to be in a hurry to call the NVC after work. God bless

IV fee is based off of when they accept your DS-261. It has nothing to do with the AOS fee or package.
