We are working with the preparation of your visa package and will mail it to the applicant address on GSS profile which takes approximately 7-10 days. Applicant should refrain from making any irrevocable travel arrangements until he/she receives.<p>

Ok, so if it was put in regular USPS mail from SC on April 1, NVC should receive it within 5 days -- hopefully they physically receive it today or tomorrow at worst. Give it another 5 business days for NVC to scan your package in. Good luck!

husband sent AOS via certified mail, now my worry if they attempt to deliver it on a saturday and there's no one there to receive it? would NVC bother to pick it up at the post office? or USPS will attempt another delivery the following monday? hope using certified mail won't cause us any more delays.....

and how many days for the delivery of certified mail..

Thank you so much. But how come i need to tell him what to do abt filling out AOS forms because we got a checklist leaving some boxes blank and also the mailing address? Was it bec he was careless or did not know what he was doing?

Finally after one year to the date since I filed my NOA1. I was told today that or "CASE IS COMPLETE "

My wife and I received a case complete notice with an interview date this morning at 12:01 am central time!

You must be so excited!! yay!

Yep, silly isn't it. If I'd known this before I sent in ENROLL email, I wouldn't have opted for EP I would have done snail mail. I want faster not cheaper.

Thanks for all of your discussions on the confusions using EP... I believe I'll use snail mail;)

Aug 2: I-129F NOA1

Aug 12: Alien Registration Number was changed, I-129F.

2014: Jan 28/29/30: - 3 transfer notices for I-130 and I-129F.

Feb 3 - Hard copy arrived -Notice of transfer to Texas stating Jan 29th.

Feb 10 - NOA2

Feb 27 - email stating I-130 being sent to NVC from TSC.

March 6 -NVC received our case.

April 7 - CASE NUMBER yay! IIN and BIN obtained and email given.

April 9 - DS261 available and filled in online.

April 9 - AOS not yet payable but visible.

April 10 - email regarding NVC case number and access to DS261 received/ email regarding AOS received and paid.

April 11 - AOS sent by snail mail.

Yes, don't worry, your documents will get there :) Just allow for that lag time between NVC physically receiving and NVC scanning things in. I don't know if your lawyer doesn't know what he's doing or is just careless, but either way, you have every right to be upset with him. It cost me $5.60 to send my documents via Priority Mail, which I think has 2 day delivery. Since I'm in MA and NVC is very close to me, my documents arrived next day. That amount in postage is a pittance for the peace of mind that comes with a tracking number. And adding the tracking or delivery confirmation option to regular USPS mail isn't expensive either! Your lawyer is definitely not putting any extra effort into this for you... or even the baseline level of effort I would expect for a $4,000 fee.

Doing EP is really not saving any time at NVC.

Everything gets stumbled on the ENROLL

email...apparently an enroll acceptance takes 20-30 business days...ok, peace out.

for china it can save 2-4months

Yes, don't worry, your documents will get there :) Just allow for that lag time between NVC physically receiving and NVC scanning things in. I don't know if your lawyer doesn't know what he's doing or is just careless, but either way, you have every right to be upset with him. I am really learning a lot from VJ. I wouldn't know either. Learning from our experience. I would never again hire an attorney to process any visa for my relatives (in case). I will just do it myself. bec now that is what I do, following up to NVC, reading VJ experiences so I think I know now what to do, consult VJ family. LOL

2014-08- 14 - Status updated still "READY" I received an email from the USEM,We have received your said documents. Please be informed that your visa has now been approved. We are working with the preparation of your visa package and will mail it to the applicant address on GSS profile which takes approximately 7-10 days. Applicant should refrain from making any irrevocable travel arrangements until he/she receives.<p>

Just got off phone with Rose from NVC, she says it takes 3-5 business days from the day you paid it online. Ok. I paid it online March 28 and today is April 4. You do the math, it should be showing paid today! Check again Monday or Tuesday. So fed up with this process.

good to know- mine was paid on 31 and came out bank next day, and stillll no sign of paid. Lawyer wont send package until it is paid, just have to wait. Wait and then waiiiit

So I mentioned yesterday that my husband didn't write DR for the address when he sent our AOS checklist correction. Today we are sending the IV package, so i'm wondering if I should include a copy of the checklist correction as well in case the other one gets delayed in getting to the proper place. Opinions?

Hello everyone,

I had my IV papers done back in December (thinking my process would take much less time than it's really taking) and I am wondering if the papers (police record, birth certificate...) along with the translations have to be less than 3 months old.

Help? :)

Depends on the document expiration date. For example, on my husband's police report is says right on it VALID 90 DAYS.
