If your uncle lives with your spouse in USA in the same house and they both relates to each other then your uncle needs to fill out I864A and which needs to be signed by you as well and you have to file another I -864 form separately as well...

No! The I-864a is only used by household family members to combine income. Aka a husband and a wife who file taxes together.

In almost all cases:

Petitioner - I-864

Joint sponsor - I-864

(Joint sponsor's spouse - I-864a)

I've read the instructions and helped countless people with these forms. Family household members who wish to COMBINE incomes co-sponsor with an I864a. Generally speaking, if you do not jointly file taxes or are not declared as a dependent on those taxes then there is no point in combining income. If the uncle qualifies on his own the appropriate way to have a JOINT sponsor is for each person to sign a completed I-864. If the uncle uses the I-864 you have to prove both same residence AND family relationship. Ask pushbrk if you dont believe me as he is the forum expert on the I-864 forms (all of the forms really.)

As always this is my advice, do what you want. It's not MY immigration journey or MY spouse. It's YOURS. I'm living with my husband in the USA after an uneventful immigration journey with no RFEs or checklists. Take it or leave it, it's no skin off my back. :D

yes i was told another officer that our case is on expedite service. and they shipped our file to Paris today.

when I log in to pay IV Application Processing Fees, it says:

The National Visa Center has forwarded your file to the US Embassy/Consulate where you are applying for an immigrant visa. Any other required fees must now be paid directly at the Embassy or Consulate at the time of your interview.

Please contact the US Embassy/Consulate if you have any questions. You can find the contact information by consulting this list of US Embassy/Consulate websites.

I hope so but like USCIS, everyone said different thing, so I ganna call again to talk to different person at NVC.

regarding your tax thing, I think it would be ok with 2010-2012 for now but when you have interview at Paris, you have to bring 2013 return. they might ask you to bring.

you and our case are so close each other. :) maybe same interview date at paris? hehe

This is great news for the expedite!!!! I'm happy for you! Well now it seems like we won't get the same interview dates haha! I am still waiting for the IV fee to be unlocked (we received the invoice by email yesterday...) and for the AOS package to get there (totally a waste of time!). And thanks for the tax related question, I will definitely bring the 2013 transcripts at the interview! Let us know when your husband's interview is scheduled! :dancing:

He is a US citizen, lived in the UK, now moved back to the US. I am French, we met in 2010 in the UK and got married in March 2013 in France.

My wife and I received a case complete notice with an interview date this morning at 12:01 am central time!

Our interview date is May 21 at the consulate in Montreal.

Thank you for everyone's help thus far and continuing forward as we prepare for the interview.

10/16/2013 I-130 NOA2 via text and email...APPROVED at MSC!!!
10/22/2013 I-130 NOA2 hard copy received in the mail
11/7/2013 NVC sent emails with case number.
11/7/2013 Received DS-3032 / I-864 Bill
11/11/2013 Paid I-184 Bill
11/18/2013 Paid IV Application Processing Fees
03/03/2014 DS-260 was submitted online
03/03/2014 Submitted supporting documentation for I-864 and DS-260 (IV Package and AOS supporting documentation)
03/19/2014 Received receipt e-mails stating the documents for both I-864 and DS-260 had been attached to the case. Stated to wait up to 20 business days for processing
03/26/2014 Received a checklist regarding the birth certificate. This was previously provided in an email. Investigating what was wrong with the birth certificate.
03/26/2014 Called the NVC and was told this was likely because we accidentally submitted a "short form" birth certificate rather than a "long form", but we knew that wasn't the case.
03/26/2014 Wife called back to NVC and they told her that it was because the form was "too decorative". The lady on the phone told her to wait 25 days as she'll forward it to a supervisor.
04/04/2014 Email received with a CASE COMPLETE notification and P4 interview letter.
05/21/2014 Scheduled Interview Date.
5/21/2014 VISA APPROVED!!!!

getting this error when I sign in to see if the bills are available..

This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately.

AND... thanks to the WIKI link...It just saved me a huge anxiety attack ( LOL)

do NOT panic. This is actually good news! If you just got your case number, then this message means NVC is inputting your case in their system. If you get this message a few days after case number generation, then it's a good possibility that NVC is invoicing your AOS bill. And if this message appears a few days after DS-261 acceptance, then there's a good chance the IV bill is being invoiced.

getting this error when I sign in to see if the bills are available.. gotta search to see what the heck this means... I think I recall this is kind of normal..

Yep it's normal :) usually means they are inputting your case number or invoicing one of your bills to be paid.
