So strange I never cot a cc email. CC was 12th April 2014. Called again last week just to make sure and she said my case was waiting for an interview date. But still starting to worry my case will fall through the cracks! Lol. Good luck to you all today

i will do regular call. but i am really scare to meet angry bird group from NVC.

if i have checklist, do they tell you what it is on the phone??

i really don't want any checklists at all.

Btw, could someone tell me how much time should i allow to lapse before i start bugging NVC? I have submitted DS-260 yesterday, does that mean the same thing as 'accepted' or do i have to call them if they have received it. Im a little confused on that part.

Today i received case complete email so do you think my case was complete April 23 or April 26

The National Visa Center has received all documentation necessary to complete pre-processing

of your case. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner

and attorney (if applicable) will be notified

I think we all are. The emails come through to my phone and my laptop. First thing I do when I wake up is check the action during the night. Then I keep a window opened on my computer at work.

There is support here from people who actually understand the process. You can't get support from the outside world.. They don't get it.

Exactly - Certified copy was issued by a public notary and this copy was then translated into English.Looks like this was not correct....

NVC couldn`t really help me yesterday. Today I went to the local town/city hall in the city where I was born and they issued my a birth certificate (a duplicate with real signature and real stamp, long form birth certificate.)

So I guess this should be correct now - When I submit this duplicate with a translation will this be acceptable?

Also how long does it take the NVC to review this again? 2 weeks?

Exactly, printed by them, long form, all good.

Put Case # on each page, copies and originals.

I used small non permanent stickers on mine that

I had printed the case # on

I made a copy of everything.

Express ship (recommended)

Especially this packet full of difficult to replace Docs.

Dont want it laying around to be lost or damaged.

The Cover letter is most important.

Describe in detail each item and how it relates

such as "proof of income"

Paper Clips only.....One large binder to hold it all together

14 days seems to be the magic number of late to review

Sign everything that needs signing

Date everything that needs a date

Dont forget the Bar-coded cover sheet

BTW they are aware of the list we have going on here. I asked if she reads the forum, she said she DOES NOT but doesn't know if others do. I did not mention VJ..

I was told mail is processed by the day.

Most people do not wait for the bills to show paid before they send in the packages. Sometimes they get truckloads of mail per day.

We had a discussion about the I-130 backlog when they were stockpiling the files.. Then all of a sudden the NVC got slammed she said... She said they are trying to offer better customer service and spend more time answering the questions from the callers because it is taking longer to process at the NVC. I thanked her for being so nice.

Yes, mafia fits very well! Or prison. Prison works, too. All of us in the US are waiting for our spouses to get out and come home.

For those of us who have to remove conditions in 2 years, it's like they're getting out on parole. That's what it feels like to me LOL
