So happy for you and specially that you didn't get a check list. :)

:) oh yeah, thank god we didn't get a check list for AOS, even when we had joint sponsor and my wife worked on and off in 2013-2014.

We got that filled from an immigration agent and he charged $150 for it. But i guess its worth when there is no checklist :)

Also for IV packet, i have submitted all the original docs, no certified copies... just to avoid checklist...fingers crossed.....

I am confused about what to put for my income. I know I have already asked this question but the answer I got did not really apply to my circumstance.

I am the petitioner. I currently live in Australia with my husband and am employed here. I have accepted a job offer and will be moving back to the USA and starting my new job July 28th.

For Part 6 1. Employed as a/an __________

What should I put? My current employer in Australia?

For Part 6 5. My current individual annual income is: ___________

Should I put my current income even though it won't count or should I put my income for my new job? I have my employment contract for my new job stating my salary.

And if I am not using anyone else's income towards my household, would my current Annual Household Income be my current income or my expected USA income?

Thank you so much!! :)

I am using my Mom as a joint sponsor.

She files jointly with my Dad but her income is paid into their family business, so on her Tax Returns and Pay Stubs it doesn't say her name, it says the company name.

I have written a letter explaining that her salary is paid into their business account and her employer also explained this in a letter.

Will this be sufficient?

I am also including her W-2's to show individual income as well as her Tax Returns, Tax Transcripts and Letter from her Employer.

i took two photocopies, was thinking of sending both, but then they ask for just one photocopy on NVC website also, so there was no point in sending two. Then i though why not to send one attested copy from notary too. Then i sent one photocopy plus one attested photocopy.

I assume NVC will have photocopy machines if they need an extra copy...:rofl:

I will carry one photocopy to interview.

i did send 4 photographs (though, now a days ppl say that they don't require any). On the back of two i wrote all the things and two were sent clean. I don't mind if they trash two of them.

Please forgive, I am only making words Bold for emphasis...not to shout... :)

You stated the certified copy issued by the public notary....This will not be acceptable to NVC.

You stated you have an original birth certificate. What government agency issued it?

It is that government (civil) authority only that can issue a certified copy of your birth certificate.

It will be an certified original document that they print.

Birth Certificates

You (and any family members immigrating with you to the United States) must obtain an original birth certificate issued by the official custodian of birth records in your country of birth,

showing your date of birth, place of birth, and parentage.

Important Notice: All Immigrant Visa applicants must submit a long form original birth certificate. Short form birth certificates will not be accepted.

The certificate must contain the:

  • Your date of birth
  • Your place of birth
  • Names of both parents
  • Indication by the appropriate authority that it is an extract from the official records

Exactly - Certified copy was issued by a public notary and this copy was then translated into English.Looks like this was not correct....

NVC couldn`t really help me yesterday. Today I went to the local town/city hall in the city where I was born and they issued my a birth certificate (a duplicate with real signature and real stamp, long form birth certificate.)

So I guess this should be correct now - When I submit this duplicate with a translation will this be acceptable?

Also how long does it take the NVC to review this again? 2 weeks?

I guess -duplicate- is not a "good" word for that. At the city hall they printed this birth certificate out, signed and stapmed it.

Doubt it. I have no idea why.

Success! Interview date: June 17th!

Congrats Kaylara! Finally!!! : :dancing:

Quick question, did you guys send one or two photocopies of passport bio page? And yes, I did read the wiki several times, just asking what people actually did :P

It asks for just one, but another extra copy wouldn't do anything to your case ;). Just an extra precaution!

FYI

A branch of the US Department of Homeland Security is telling Americans to stop using Internet Explorer due to a vulnerability that allows hackers to remotely execute codes on victim's computers as they surf the web and infect their computers.

Congratulations to all those who got interview dates today.

Yep. All version of windows that are supported by MS will be patched, but unfortunately that doesn't include windows XP... if anyone is using that anymore..!

Wonderful will be praying no checklist for the IV for sure. Actually $150 isn't bad at all, I think mine will be simple my parents are

our sponsor and I wont have to fill out the sponsor part. And we are way above the poverty level so I think that part is good.

Keep us up to date. :)

What ever the response is to your questions make sure to explain in a separate sheet of paper your circumstances. Don't forget to put your case number and sign and date it. I remember reading this for a question similar to yours. Much luck to you. (F)(F)
