I'm sitting here tonight, watching Yankees baseball, and trying to figure out why I am so antsy. I realized that the USCIS trek takes SOOOOO long - but you really didn't have any idea when all of a sudden you were going to get that "address changed" or "alien registration number changed" email that was going to let you know you were really really close.

It's different now at NVC. Yes - the time frames are shorter - and there is a lot more action. But there is also a better idea of WHEN you should hear something - and I think that is why it's harder in a way. There have now been two "case completes" on this list where the dates are after mine. And the end of the month is tomorrow, and I'm so hoping for a June interview. I called last night. Nada. I'm not calling tonight. I'll wait until tomorrow night. It was VERY killing last night to hear that my packets had not even been touched yet...not even a checklist (god/dess forbid!).

Hope tomorrow has better news!

I agree. This is in some way more difficult than USCIS. There are all these little steps and you get excited at each one because your that little bit closer but still your waiting and waiting. Hope tomorrow is your day! Keep your chin up. We are coming down the home stretch now! :)

Thanks! I'm usually not so creative but it was the first thing that popped into my head. I love to draw but I'm not one of those artist who can just sit down and pull something out of my head. I have to draw what I see. :).

I spoke with my accountant a few months ago in the USA and told him I needed to file jointly because I was married in July of last year.

I just received my 1040 Tax Return in the mail from him and he filed as Single.

I was going to send my AOS this week. What do I do??

HELP

I spoke with my accountant a few months ago in the USA and told him I needed to file jointly because I was married in July of last year.

I was going to send my AOS this week. What do I do??

Make an appointment with your accountant.

Prepare the Amended Return. Sign it, Date it and File immediately.

Have your accountant prepare a second copy of the Return with W2s, Schedules...ect.

Sign it, Date it and send it in with your AOS packet.

Your Federal Tax Transcript will be available online well before your interview date.

Download it online and print it to take to the interview just in case they need it. :)

This is assuming you will choose to file MFS !

MFJ is much more complicated.

i am here with you guys... just called and they said don't even open my IV package...

come on NVC .........

i want to pick up my old parents very fast to live with me.

USCIS stage

sent i130 for my parents on april1, 2013

noa 1 on april 5, 2013

transferred from NBC to TSC on nov 18, 2013.

waiting waiting and hoping NO RFE.......

jan 31, 2014 NOA 2 ....

finally i 130 journey is approved ...

NVC stage

02/26/2014 nvc received my approved i130 from uscis

04/01/2014 case number and invoiced assigned

04/02/2014 AOS fee paid

04/04/2014 iv fee invoiced. not able to pay yet

04/06/2014 iv fee ok to pay, still in process

04/04/2014 AOS package sent via usps express mail. but weekends hummmmm

04/07/2014 AOS package arrived to NVC ( according to USPS tracking).

04/08/2014 officer lady from NVC said that my AOS packages are received .

04/09/2014 DS 260 completed. make some name mistake. hope it will not delay my case.

04/16/2006 IV package for parents are delivered to NVC ( according to USPS tracking).

04/21/2014 nice lady from NVC confirm that they received my IV package today. .

​04/24/2014 nice lady from NVC confirm that they already accepted my AOS packages for both parents...

05/06/2014 one gentleman told me my case was completed already. (L) (L) (L)

Hi, I just received my NVC case number and invoice id, but when I try to sign in it says..."Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time." Is it too early or did I made a mistake on the numbers? I didn't said any packets or anything.
