Got case # today April 2. 22nd working day since they received it.

Hi O'Lisa, I'm wondering if it really is 22 days since they seem to be working weekends as well... 22 days was calculated Monday-Friday only right?

When I called on Friday to check if our case had been completed, the operator told me they'd just received 100,000 cases from USCIS and they're "busting their butts to get them done." I believe they're trying to get out all the old cases out before starting on new cases that's why we've been seeing so many case completions lately. Just my opinion. I hope and pray your case is found very soon. Good Luck to you.

Did you receive confirmation from NSC that they had shipped your case or are you just going from the date of your NOA2? I only ask because NSC sat on our case for a week after our NOA2 before we got confirmation (an additional text/email) that they had shipped it to NVC... It would still be an exceptional amount of time for it to get there for your case, but it may explain some of the delay.

In the short term not as much but as Saylin embarks on her new job / career and spends less time here

it will have a growing impact on the spreadsheet but much more so the quality of the thread.

We as the final group (offspring) who benefited from Her full time dedication and commitment were truly blessed.

Going forward the thread will become something very different without Her daily care, wisdom and guidance.

Very true, she really helped me, and i always checked in to see her answers to others as i knew i could trust her.

I only ask because NSC sat on our case for a week after our NOA2 before we got confirmation (an additional text/email) that they had shipped it to NVC... It would still be an exceptional amount of time for it to get there for your case, but it may explain some of the delay.

I didn't receive any confirmation but on the NOA2, it does state that they have sent the original visa petition to NVC. I wrote to Nebraska yesterday, let's see what happens.

so apparently my I-130 got a case number the same day it was received too. Both received and given numbers on 4-1-14. They linked them in the system and they told me just now that they aren't processing my K3. But I know of other people have been told the same thing and the K3 makes it to the embassy anyway. So much for throwing it in a dusty corner. I will be calling again to make sure the witch wasn't lying. I did tell her the person I talked to yesterday told me my K3 would be shipping out on Friday. She told me that was incorrect inforamtion and she has no idea why that was told to me. GOTTA LOVE THE CONSISTENCY ( sarcasm)

So she told me I should be getting the bills in a few weeks. I can pay or the attorney can pay. Its up to us. So this is why I was hanging out here on this thread. I had a funny feeling I was living in LA LA land. The worst part about this whole process is the UNKNOWN.

So sorry if this truly is the end of the K3. But if so, at least it left you a parting gift -- case number for the I-130! However things proceed I'm glad they're moving forward for you. Even if you're stuck going through the whole NVC process, the wait between NOA2 and getting a case number really is the worst bit. Hopefully you'll fly from here.

I asked for all three.. case number, IIN (Invoice Identification Number) and BIN (Beneficiary Identification Number). Lady on the phone gave me all three.

I don't think you will need the IIN if you are still hoping your K3 will make it to the embassy. Though the next time you are on the phone with them ask them for both the IIN and BIN so that if the worst happens and they close your K3.. at least you will have all the info to start procesing your CR1.

Can't concentrate either! Just submitted the DS261.. and I am very glad even though they did close your K3.. you have a case number for the I-130 and can start moving it along! Hopefully you'll have a case complete by end of April.. fingers crossed!
