As far as I know you have to wait until the embassy/consulate receives your case, then you can call them and attempt to reschedule.

At some consulates once they receive your case you can email them and make

yourself available for short notice interview dates that become available ...

Ok so tomorrow I will be sending the AOS packet or is that too soon since I just paid the AOS fee? I have to include the cover sheet that has my husbands info right? Also did anyone actually include the instructions for the I-864? My printer just decided to quit!!

I'm sitting here tonight, watching Yankees baseball, and trying to figure out why I am so antsy. I realized that the USCIS trek takes SOOOOO long - but you really didn't have any idea when all of a sudden you were going to get that "address changed" or "alien registration number changed" email that was going to let you know you were really really close.

It's different now at NVC. Yes - the time frames are shorter - and there is a lot more action. But there is also a better idea of WHEN you should hear something - and I think that is why it's harder in a way. There have now been two "case completes" on this list where the dates are after mine. And the end of the month is tomorrow, and I'm so hoping for a June interview. I called last night. Nada. I'm not calling tonight. I'll wait until tomorrow night. It was VERY killing last night to hear that my packets had not even been touched yet...not even a checklist (god/dess forbid!).

Hope tomorrow has better news!

On the timelines, what does the "completed" and "return" signify? Such as Received I-864, returned completed 1-864?

I am confused too.. so I just put same dates in all blanket

The timeline milestones are out of date and refer to when everything was a paper process. I've tried suggesting to site administration that these markers be updated to reflect the current process and electronic form names, don't think that'll be happening

Now VJ has to be on timeframe with USCIS and NVC..

I broke down, and called last night. Was told our AOS was under review, and that we would probably receive a false checklist for the IV package. Sure enough, got the IV checklist today.

The days drag by now, waiting for our CC. I'm still hoping for a June interview, but I'm not holding my breath.

I'm right there with you Sukie. Today we have been married 1 year 4 months, and tomorrow our son will be 7 months. His first two teeth just came and my husband missed it just like he missed his birth. I feel like our life together can't start because of this process. I'm miserable right now.
