Hey guys - How do we know that our DS-261 and AOS packet has been accepted?

Actually, just got an email from NVC that I (the petitioner) has been assigned as the agent, so I assume they have accepted my DS-261?

JUST A REMINDER TO ALL VJ MEMBERS:

My nephew from CA posted the news in his facebook wall, "Homeland Security warns not to use IE browser." I know that we, Vjers are recommended to use IE browser. If this is legitimate, I think it's better to ask the NVC about this before doing the payments and fill up the applications on CEAC. In the past thread, I read that other Vjers were having problems in using other browsers so for your safety I would recommend ask NVC.

News from ABC:

Homeland Security warns not to use IE browser

http://abclocal.go.com/kgo/story?section=news/technology&id=9520117

Now what are we supposed to do? :( I hope they have it fixed by the time I need to pay the fees. I'm really tired of waiting and after USCIS pushed my case from March to June (their mistake not mine) I'm getting pretty tired of this constant waiting. :(

if i have checklist, do they tell you what it is on the phone??

i really don't want any checklists at all.

In the event you do get a checklist you can get details and

respond right away thereby greatly reducing any delay.

Dont worry, you will be ok. If you get an "Angry Bird"

just hangup right away and call back later..... :secret:

I am headed to Thailand soon. I have been everywhere

They keep your photocopies, not the originals. If they kept everyones' originals they would have no room anywhere else in their office :P.

Technically 22 days! Jean said it was assigned yesterday, but when we called they said it wasn't in their system.. guess it was later on in the day. They always state 30 business days :).

Thank you gives me some hope, so tired of waiting like everyone else. I hope mine doesn't take the full 30 days. Ty again. :)(F) (F) And congratulations.

Maybe NVC has been reducing the backlog, and now it's taking "only" a little bit over 3 weeks to issue a case number!

I hope they continue to reduce the backlog and issue us case numbers sooner! Fingers crossed!

God willing AustinCanada, God willing :) fingers and eyes crossed. ;):dance:

I'm sorry for what had happened to your case. I also posted this to the group I joined in with Kaylara. The 2 said they used firefox while the other one used chrome. But I think it would be better asking NVC so it won't mess up your payments or DS 260. Or maybe if what majority of VJ members used aside from IE browser.

HI

I just wanted to post on the new thread :)

Is it about a week for bills paid to be seen as PAID rather than pending? That bit is not on Saylins spreadsheet.

I agree that it takes about 4 to 5 days for the bill to show as PAID some times.

Mine did that as well.

AOS Bill paid = 04/14/2014

Bank WithDrawal - 04/16/2014

Online PAID Status - 04/21/2014

same with the IV fees.

So i would say check your current bank transactions. Those show right aways.
