there is an official instruction for an official form and it's bulls*it?

i think there was something more than that, people tend to blame nvc for their mistakes

I haven't sent my forms in yet so I have no idea what will be accepted. It's still being debated what is right and what is wrong. Even NVC reps haven't given a consistent answer.

The decision to write "N/A, NONE" ultimately falls on the sponsor. Each one of us can go whichever way we feel more comfortable.

Just maiiled the AOS I864w (checklist) overninght to NVC. I do not plan to call NVC anytime this week. The NVC department in my mind is on momentarily going into recess after this second checklist. Anyone out there with an idea about what timeframe I might be looking at? Thats is before complete all the cases. One case - Principal - is already complete.

We received our case # today.. wooohooo! Moving up on in the NVC world .

Why the government would insist on using such a stupid outdated browser like IE is beyond me. Then something like this happens and all of a sudden they advise us not to use it. Ridiculous.

I know right? If they didn't recommend IE browser, I wouldn't have used it. Lol

The instructions aren't followed by the NVC, as per many members who have gotten checklists for blank items. I read the instructions completely before filling it out and had everything blank, like they said. But have since changed that.

When they say 'send originals'... I don't think they meant actually submitting your wife and daughter

This will take effect on the 1st of January of 2015, new rule for the new year.

Believe me! I'm talking from experience! they keep everything and give back the marriage certificate only!!!!!!

They keep your photocopies, not the originals. If they kept everyones' originals they would have no room anywhere else in their office .

Technically 22 days! Jean said it was assigned yesterday, but when we called they said it wasn't in their system.. guess it was later on in the day. They always state 30 business days .

Maybe NVC has been reducing the backlog, and now it's taking "only" a little bit over 3 weeks to issue a case number!

I hope they continue to reduce the backlog and issue us case numbers sooner! Fingers crossed!

Its good to call regularly just to get a jump on any checklist.
