In Casablanca, they only return the marriage certificate and they keep the rest.

They keep the originals/certified copies? Are you sure? I've never heard of that in my 4 years here... :huh:

Apparently NVC was just waiting for me to lose all hope, sit back and get comfortable before throwing us for a loop. Yesterday evening we received an email notification for a May 19 interview in Londo

If the I-130 is still with USCIS then your I-129F will make it to the embassy and will be processed.


We have here a case of a member with K3 also. The K3 made it all the way to the embassy, medical done and all and then the K3 was closed because they found out the I-130 was at NVC.


In your case, if the I-130 is still not approved by USCIS, the K3 should go through in chaa Allah!

Oh cool. i guess I'll keep filling out N/A on the A number field then. :)

You have to write NONE not N/A. It is applicable to you but you just don't have a A number yet so you write NONE.

Hi all, I am petitioning my parents NOA2 approved. I am going to start collecting documents for AOS package. Is my marriage certificate has to be certified? I got married in New York. Below I have attach a copy of sample New York marriage certificate...

NOTE:Names on certificate is not mine I guess(hope) they are made up names because I would not want to show someone else marriage certificate.....

R5 Visa for Both of my parents: sent from NY

3- 27 -2013 _________I-130 sent-National Benefit Center

04-11-2013_________NOA1 received

11-15-2013_________ Transferred to another office(Nebraska Service Center)

03-10-2014 _________sent more evidence(they lost some documents)

Hmm, that's very weird. That's the first I've heard of a consulate/embassy keeping civil documents after an approved interview...

You really should have your case complete by now. Don't lose hope, and if I were you, I would keep calling. At night there are not as many rude people, and hearing case complete makes it worth it.

I think they do it that way since it is VERY EASY to get all the documents in Morocco: birth cert, PCC, Court cert, mattr of couple of hours. 3 days for PCC

Well, it's easy here too in the US and Canada to get civil documents. My husband was able to get a bunch of certified copies of his birth certificate and our marriage certificate within just a few minutes. But, I still find it weird they keep them :lol:

It would truly be justice would it not to have your day in

" The Peoples Immigration Court"

Lets say you call NVC and you get some really bad advice

and it causes you a checklist and months of delay in being

with your family. This begs for some punitive action.
