I am obsessively checking VJ for more case completes. I called NVC last night, but our civil docs are still under review. This has been a tough week, and we desperately need some good news.

Hey, I know exactly how you feel right now. I keep seeing Case Completes and as happy as it makes me it also makes me sad that it's not mine yet. But I hope that we all get it this week or atleast in time for the June interview scheduling. You and I are exactly 7 days apart. But I guess with NVC that doesn't mean anything. Since they seem to review the docs in different time frames. I've seen people who submitted at the same time as me and have had CC's for a week now. So we are close....very....very....very close.

I'm just not calling the NVC anymore, its more depressing to get yelled at by someone who is rude and sounds like they hate us or they hate their jobs. But either way, I'm just gonna wait it out now. Maybe take that extra time and strengthen my faith in god...lol

1/29/14 - NVC assigned case number

2/10/14 - DS-261 was filled out and AOS was paid

2/11/14 - AOS was mailed

3/10/14 - AOS Checklist for missing field (Didn't write N/A)

3/11/14 - AOS was resent

3/20/14 - IV fee was invoiced and paid

3/26/14 - DS-260 was filled out and the IV documents were mailed from India

3/27/14 - AOS was approved (Reply to the checklist)

4/1/14 - received a false checklist for IV documents

4/7/14 - IV Documents reached NVC

4/11/14 - IV Documents were touched by NVC

4/29/14 - Case Complete (Called on April 30)

Hi all,

I was approved from USCIS last week and just received an email stating my case has been shipped to NVC. Of course I haven't got my case # yet, is this the thread for me? or should I wait until I get my case # first and join the May thread?

Thank you

Hi everybody,

An update on my K-3. I just called NVC and they received my case from Texas Service Center.

Sandy (lovely, patient lady) gave me my case, IID and Beneficiary #'s! I asked her what comes next. She said in 3-4 days start logging onto the embassy's website in Cairo to see if they received my case. She indicated that my file was being mailed out today!

Now i have no idea what this all means since my i-130 hasn't even been looked at yet. I'm hoping my K-3 gets to Cairo quickly and an interview gets scheduled before they touch the I-130. However, Sandy said sometimes they will pull the I-130 to pair it up and send it to Cairo as well. And according to her, since my K-3 has already been approved there is nothing that should keep my I-130 from getting approved.

So long story short, at the very least I am thinking that inshallah my I-130 will be approved much sooner than i thought and I shaved off a couple months off the wait.

If that's what happens, then my advice to anyone wondering if the 1-129 K-3 is worth it……….YES ABSOLUTELY!

Salam,

If the I-130 is still with USCIS then your I-129F will make it to the embassy and will be processed.

We have here a case of a member with K3 also. The K3 made it all the way to the embassy, medical done and all and then the K3 was closed because they found out the I-130 was at NVC.

In your case, if the I-130 is still not approved by USCIS, the K3 should go through in chaa Allah!

Good luck

So I received an AOS checklist email this morning for one of my cases and called NVC and waited with bated breath as that elevator music played with the occassional your call is important........ It turns out one case is complete for my wife but it is being held back because I need to send I 864w for the children. This is after waiting for 20 plus days after the first checklist.

I am thinking how come they did not raise this I 864w issue before?? I decided to let the vitroil settle before another call after three hours, talked to someone different, same story.."We have completed the principal immigrant case but you need to send in the I864ws for the acompanying......for the whole package to go to the embassy for all of them to be interviewed at the same time"

Now the sad part is both of them said I will have to wait for 30 days before they review the I 864ws. Oh well thats how the cookie crumbles. I decided to look at the distance I have covered so far when I sent the N400 before the I 130s, the transfers to other service USCIS centers, then NVC..... I guess this part was not in the script I wrote.....

The powerful play goes on here in VJ and this is the verse I contribute. I am off now going to mail the completed I 864w for over-night delivery. Stay tuned!

Danced a yard ere I danced abroad

Carpe Diem!
