Finally! I now have case number for my wife! They just assigned it today. Now the wait for my invoice to become avail so i can pay it! Tick Tock..i will be watching all day for it. That's the first i heard about NVC not needing passport photos! I wouldnt believe that, send it anyway. You can have your significant other get a digital photo and email to you and you get them printed. Happy Day!

Have your AoS and IV packages ready and send as soon as you pay and money is debited from your account!

This will save you couple of days!

I personnaly did not wait, I sent the packets as soon as I paid the fees (had a 2 day delay with IV packet for the PCC, had to wait for it).

Let me stress to non-EP folk: send your passport photos. And to EP folk: send them as well. Even if they may not be required for EP, I'll always suggest sending it. Better safe than sorry.

I too thought it was a false checklist, but like you said usually it's requesting the IV package..which I received one of those on April 21, todays was very specific, listing everything needed. So I am not sure. A couple days ago I spoke to NVC and they told me they received an email from me on April 17 but the IV package wasn't in that email...but that is what I sent them, the IV package, Today JOY told me they haven't reviewed anything and didn't see anything in regards to them receiving any emails from me. So I am totally and completely confused and very aggrevated. I just want someone there to give me a straight answer,just to let me know whether they received my IV email and documents or not

I'd suggest trying and calling again later this afternoon and/or evening. Speak with someone else and see what they say.

I always recommend calling a minimum of 3-5 times for questions like this as operators' answers will often vary and it's a good idea to get a majority answer.

received checklist for ds-260 supporting docs. Can't

tell if it's false or not. They are asking for everything

EXCEPT the passport photos. The want birth cert,

biographical data page from passport, marriage cert. divorce decree and police check. All these were emailed with to them including the passport photos. I do not understand how they could receive ONLY the passport photos and nothing else, when are were attached to the same email. Tried calling NVC this morning, waited on hold 45 minutes and then MISS ABBIE hung up on me before I could even finish giving her my case #. I'm at a loss and furious. I can't seem to get through to NVC. Anyone have any ideas as to WHY I received a checklist for these??

dont worry. it happened to me. when they review ur ds260 .but aos or civil document is not there.they will send that. i sent aos and civil document on april 3. they reviewed my ds260 on 422.but my document was not there.so they sent the same thing.

Also, in the spirit of preparing to send documents, I spoke to the NVC just now, and they said that for Russians interviewing in Moscow only, the original birth certificate does not need to be sent to NVC. A copy would suffice for NVC, with the original brought to the interview in Moscow.

I am obsessively checking VJ for more case completes. I called NVC last night, but our civil docs are still under review. This has been a tough week, and we desperately need some good news.

Also, I'd like to add some information about our AOS in case anyone finds it helpful. I used no joint sponsors. I did not file in 2011 because I was in school, so I used 2011 ($0 amount), 2012 (under 125% of poverty amount) and 2013. I only included my tax return for 2013 and no explanation of why I didn't file in 2011. I included payment stubs for this year and letter of employment. I didn't leave any blanks and used None or N/A where appropriate.

So close yet so far away!

The wait for a "Case Complete" is very painful!!!!! almost as painful as waiting for NOA2 when I was transferred to Nebraska BS Center!!!!!!!!!!
