Received a potentially false checklist today on financial evidence; the paragraph about the issue was in Greek symbols; so I called NVC, and the person told me disregard it, so it is confirmed it is a false checklist, see the attached pdf

good morning!

i don't know where to post our update but today my husband received letter from embassy in paris with interview date!

expedite request was approved at NVC and shipped out our file to Paris early this month. finally got interview date ( 22nd May) today.

a year long journey, we are on final step.

I got this case complete on Saturday 26th April 2014.

PS: And it was our own honorable Joy you relayed this wonderful news to me. She was absolutely wonderful.

Much thanks goes to Saylin, Changnoi and many many others who helped us in different ways. May your heart desires be fulfilled.

I just called to get an update and i got a CASE COMPLETE!!!!! so super happy :dancing:

Today I called Nvc and I got my case completed!!! :dancing::):D They told me my case was completed April 26(saturday)

Congratulations you guys!! :goofy: I love seeing our little community motivated with constant good news!

I graduated with my MSW this past Saturday and on my way to my graduation I was crying because when I applied for my husband my wish was that he will be here for my graduation. :(

Hi everyone, I read all the posts here( all 354 pages) :P . I learned a lot from all of you, laughed at the great jokes and keep quiet for now. I have a question for people going to the interview in Montreal. How long it takes to receive the Visa after interview, does the Consulate sends the documents or can we go to the consulate to pick it up? Hahaaa your so funny and witty heheeee, Well, so far everyone has said for the DS-260 to choose agent that the regular Case Number is the one to use not the old beneficiary number no longer used. So the consensus is use the case # given when you call. Thank you, your always a fountain of knowledge :)(F) (F)

I'm so sorry to hear this. I can relate, I was very sad when my husband couldn't be with me when I defended my thesis, and I cried on my birthday when I blew out the candles and he wasn't there :(

But try to stay positive, we are on the final stage of the process!! Just a few more months and you'll be reunited ;)

It's such a long and emotionally draining process. For my birthday, I literally didn't do anything. For our first wedding anniversary we couldn't celebrate together because I had to come back for school and our second year anniversary will be June 15. Hopefully, good news. Though, I don't often contribute on here,but I get all of the posts to my email and read every single one of them. I love the humor everyone brings to such a dry and painful process.

Wow how odd!! If I was you, I would call again, just to be certain the person knew what they were talking about- because don't you think it is weird that is asked for financial evidence specifically? Even though you don't know what it says...

I hope it is false but i would check again just to be 100% -- ours wasn't false--- booo ! and it had the same setup but in English :reading:

We are annoyed because husband was not convicted or sentenced so what they want does not seem to apply well to us, yet they still want court doc and we are having all sorts of trouble getting anything from the courts since they don't keep them around 20 years on esp when nothing was charged.

03/17/14 - DS-261 completed. Email Confirmation received
03/18/14 - Received email to pay AOS fee. Invoiced and paid (in process)
03/19/14 - Requested NVC to "join" wife's and daughter's cases
03/20/14 - AOS status "PAID" for wife
03/26/14 - AOS status "PAID" for daughter
03/26/14 - AOS packets sent
03/28/14 - IV available and paid for both wife and daughter (in process)
04/01/14 - IV shows "PAID", DS-260 available
04/05/14 - DS-260 complete and submitted
04/07/14 - Civil docs arrived via DHL from my wife. IV packets sent (Finally!!)
04/14/14 - False checklist for IV packet (wife and daughter)
04/15/14 - Confirmed AOS approved (did not ask for specific approval date) - IV packets in system

04/25/14 - CASE COMPLETE (wife and daughter) :dance:

04/30/14 - Interview scheduled (yay!!)

05/02/14 - Received e-mail with P4 letters

05/07/14 - NVC shipped case files to Lima Embassy via DHL. CEAC status "In transit"

05/09/14 - DHL delivered case files to Embassy. CEAC status "Ready"

Embassy (Lima, PE)

06/09/14 - Medical Exam. 4pm appointment

06/24/14 - Interview appointment @8am Visa approved!!! Bananeyessss.gifBananezorro.gif

06/25/14 - CEAC status "Issued"

First off, you made a typo in your signature, as you meant the DS 261, not the DS 260:)

After you pay your AOS fee, you send in the AOS. Hold onto the IV packet until you've paid the IV fee :idea:
