Bad news tonight

I got NOA2 on March 19, and since then I've been calling NVC every week for updates. Last two times I called they told me my case was received on April 2.

I called NVC tonight and they told me they did not receive my case yet. ####### is going on????

I can't believe that the first two times they did not hear me well so they entered a wrong number, they even repeated the number back to me and it was correct each time.

So, the lady told me to scan my I-797 approval notice and send it to nvcreseach@state.gov and they will look in to it.

What else can I do about this??? I don't think I'm going to be able to sleep tonight

I just called to get an update and i got a CASE COMPLETE!!!!! so super happy

i know i wasnt the most talkative person in here, but i did read every single entry and thank you to everyone on here.. without your info i coulldnt have done it without a checklist.. so thank you thank you thank you

i think everything important should be in my timeline

Geez I believe a week is too long to wait to fill out the DS-261...j/s anyway I was finally able to log in and fill it out!!! Would you pay your AOS fee and then send the IV packet or wait until the IV packet is available and then send it off??

Now for more waiting until the AOS and IV packets are available not to mention the interview date. All in all we have learned ALOT of patience and to keep a strong hold of our faith

Hey all. So I know some of you have totally incompetent lawyers. I talked to a Bar investigator today and it turns out that they have to do something super illegal to be reprimanded. I guess just being a lazy and horrible human being doesn't count. The investigator told me that you can sue a lawyer in small claims court but to prove malpractice or lack of due diligence you have to prove a serious loss. Unfortunately, months of your life without your spouse doesn't count...

I don't have a lawyer but that really sucks and I have told people to sue them in small claims courts it's about the amount of money you've lost so small claims is the way to go. I would drop them then get my money back use it for better things. Thank you for the information. (F)

Hi Sukie,

As I watch of late I see time frames shifting and technical issues at NVC that I did not experience.

It forces everyone to interact more with the "Angry Birds" and makes accurate estimates of each

step more difficult to make. I want to buy a plane ticket so bad, but I dare not until I see if and when

I make the June interview. I still want to do the "Bridge Climb" one day. I showed my wife the photos

from my other post to you and she wants to go one day. My heart is with everyone on this thread.

I read every post and agree in prayer with each person here to be united with their family's soon.

I was able to talk to agent Jim (he must be from the South, eh?) this evening. Well, NVC still hasn't received my case from NSC yet.

I don't feel like calling them back tomorrow since I still can't feel my finger from pressing the redial button so many times.

I'll call them back on Thurs or Friday. I hope NVC will have received my case by then.

I have some questions and sorry if you guys have answered them before.

on the i864:

On the first page, last part, under "other information" it asked for an Alien Number, I don't have that ( I am naturalized citizen) do I just put zeros? That information is about the Immigrant, not the petitioner, so did the I-797C (NOA1 or 2) have an A number listed for them? if not, leave it blank.

Part 3, question 1 I am confused. It stated " I am sponsoring the principal immigrant named in part 2" "yes or No (applicable only in cases with two joint sponsors) do I answer Yes? Yes, the bracketed comment refers to the 'no' answer I believe.

I don't meet the requirements to sponsor my husband and having my sister be the joint sponsor. You as the petitioner are indeed a sponsor so have to fill out your own 864, regardless of what amount of money you make.

Part 6 sponsor's income + employment

question 5, it asked for current individual annual income, do I put the current annual income for sponsor that is stated on her tax return? Amount expected for 2014.

question 10, do i also put the the annual household income that i put on 5? Yes, put that same expected 'current income' amount on line 10.

General question: my joint sponsor didn't make much in 2012 and 2011, does that matter? does NVC only look at the current income?

also, i decided to not leave anything blank on my forms doesn't matter if i put NA or NONE?

First off, you made a typo in your signature, as you meant the DS 261, not the DS 260:)

After you pay your AOS fee, you send in the AOS. Hold onto the IV packet until you've paid the IV fee
