Hey all. So I know some of you have totally incompetent lawyers. I talked to a Bar investigator today and it turns out that they have to do something super illegal to be reprimanded. I guess just being a lazy and horrible human being doesn't count. The investigator told me that you can sue a lawyer in small claims court but to prove malpractice or lack of due diligence you have to prove a serious loss. Unfortunately, months of your life without your spouse doesn't count...

I was just wondering once USPS shows that the package was delivered, how long does it take NVC to show that the package has arrived and is waiting to be scanned?

I have some questions and sorry if you guys have answered them before.

on the i864:

On the first page, last part, under "other information" it asked for an Alien Number, I don't have that ( I am naturalized citizen) do I just put zeros?

Part 3, question 1 I am confused. It stated " I am sponsoring the principal immigrant named in part 2" "yes or No (applicable only in cases with two joint sponsors) do I answer Yes? I don't meet the requirements to sponsor my husband and having my sister be the joint sponsor.

Part 6 sponsor's income + employment

question 5, it asked for current individual annual income, do I put the current annual income for sponsor that is stated on her tax return?

question 10, do i also put the the annual household income that i put on 5?

General question: my joint sponsor didn't make much in 2012 and 2011, does that matter? does NVC only look at the current income?

also, i decided to not leave anything blank on my forms doesn't matter if i put NA or NONE?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong .

1. If you have no alien number leave it blank.

2.You check yes, because you are sponsoring your husband because you are his petitioner.

3.It's usually the current income of what they're making for 2014, if you can get an employment letter stating how much she is currently making, (if no pay rises, etc) and it's the same as 2013's total income. Then that's fine. The annual household income is only for other incomes that are living with the sponsor that are combining their incomes together.

4. As long as the sponsor is making over the poverty guideline threshold then you should be fine, (2013) and current .

5.You can leave it blank, or put N/A or None. Some people have gotten checklists for the blanks, some haven't. Personal preference.

I filled out the EZ... I now see that I put the TOTAL INCOME on both of those lines..... What a dumbass..... UGHH Well... hopefully because it is way over the poverty amount they will let me correct it later. They have my tax transcript, my 1040, my paystubs and an employer letter. I think I covered it..LOL This process SUCKS... The incorrect AOS filled out by my lawyer had the same mistake but with the WRONG TOTAL INCOME. I can only imagine the field day they will have with my AOS..

Oh yes, the EZ form asks for adjustment total income, where just the I-864 asks for the total income. They just like to confuse people! Hope you get a complete case soon though!!
