Today I received a response to my April 1st e-mail inquiry. Just to confirm a 27-day lag at NVC.

Huh for what case numbers? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :crying:

good morning!

i don't know where to post our update but today my husband received letter from embassy in paris with interview date!

expedite request was approved at NVC and shipped out our file to Paris early this month. finally got interview date ( 22nd May) today.

a year long journey, we are on final step.

Ok confused again, who makes the interview schedule NVC or the Embassy? I thought the Embassy sent NVC their schedule and NVC doles it out? Someone know? Ok going to try to sleep an hour will check back later. Much luck and prayers to all of you waiting for good news for case complete etc. (F) If you don't get it today then tomorrow.

I'm talking about e-mail response lag. It seems NVC subcontracts at least some of its e-mail traffic, which explains Saturday issued e-mails to some VJ members. The e-mail I received was signed by

I'm sure this topic has been touched before...so I apologize if it's repetitive...

I called NVC today and the lady told me my case # was assigned last week and she gave me the information and I gave her both our email addresses. She said they are getting ready to send my packet in the mail. She said the website cant be accessed until i receive the packet.. is that true?? I want to be ahead of snail mail and get things done.

Congratulations!! My husband will be going to Paris as well for the interview. We just do not know when yet. Hopefully they are not too backed up and when our case is complete we don't have to wait too long for an interview date.

I included my screenshot of the Sign and Submit portion of the DS-260

When you click YES on Preparer of Application another menu will appear

where you put your (preparer) information. Then the final step is to put the

Beneficiary Case # and Passport # enter the captcha and click submit

case number assigned 04/18, 261 done, but still can not pay AOS, does it take this long to pay it?thanks

You will be able to start the process without waiting on NVC. I was able to fill in the DS 261 prior to getting their email. Then had to wait for their email to pay the AOS feel. See my signature for the details. If you haven't read Saylin's NVC wiki yet, now is a good time

Has anyone else gotten this message after submitting the DS-261 and going to check for the AOS Invoice:

"This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately."

I know the wiki says that this message happens when the IV Fee is being invoiced, but doesn't mention the AOS Fee. Do I have to call the NVC? Or is this just standard operating procedure everything you wait for the AOS Fee?

Mine said that too when the AOS fee was getting invoiced! So probably today
