Hey PCOZ, what internet browser are you using? Internet Explorer is the best option for NVC's website,b but I've also had luck with Safari.

Your date and signature is manually confirmed before anything else - everything else is read by a machine

a lawyer who is up to date with what is going on will tell you that.

you could of course, listen to those on here who think they're smarter.

I sent my AOS and IV March 12 than April 1 i got checklist for AOS and i resend it April 5 and i think my case was complete April 25 and recieved email April 26

Congrats! When did you send your IV package? Also plz let us know when you get your interview! I'm trying to get an estimate when I will be able to get an interview in Bangladesh ^

EUGH i was so hoping we would get the court record back and sent off today by DHL, and it did come in the mail, but said the search was inconclusive- because it was more than 20 years ago- since he does not know the date of the arrest, it will make it hard to find it on Microfiche! It was thrown out of court and is not on any of his police records- he got the one the NVC wanted and a different kind too for Scotland.

So annoying that NVC want us to send it to them and not just take it to the interview- with a blank police record i thought that was what they do.

Now he has been sent to 2 different offices today, and back and forth with people.. apparently they can't just write a certified letter saying it has nothing coming up- because maybe somewhere in a file there is a microfiche on it.

Sigh! And now it is the weekend and nothing can be done until Monday. I tried searching the forum for something similar to no avail.

Please keep us posted on your progress. I hope this situation is resolved quickly.

We anticipate a similar issue for my wife. She also has a 20+ thrown-out-of-court arrest case with no available paper trail. We're not sure what to put on the DS-260 form!

I'm just chiming in here, but if there is no paper trail then there is no problem? Can't they give you a certificate stating simply what you have with no mention of the other. I mean if there is nothing they can show then there is nothing against you. Or I'm missing something which might be cause it's almost 3 am for me. Much luck to you but I think your fine.

speaking of verifying signature, will it be a problem if the sponsor's passport is not signed? I was reviewing everything and just noticed that my mom (Joint sponsor)'s passport is not signed....Technically, it doesn't mention it and also, technically only the biota page is required (so that is just the photo page and does not include the signature page)

No court record then no problem, impossible for them to do anything about it thank God.

To the second part of your question I don't know, but I would think if there are court records it would come out when the beneficiary gets their police records. I would think if it show in the records and you had a good out come they would be good to have. By applicant you mean the person from the foreign country?

Someone that knows should be along soon if no response re-post your question please. I'll be praying for you guys.

Thanks will do. It will probably work out fine. But ours was as you said, a vague response, so now we have to get to the bottom of it and get the right court to do the research to find the documents. Hopefully will have an update by the end of Monday. Good luck to you too!
