Yet another update for those submitting via EP:

We have just received an acknowledgement email in response to our AOS package. As our timeline indicates our AOS package was sent to NVC on March 31^st prior to confirmation of ENROLLMENT and for which we did not receive an auto reply email.

For all those active and even those who just lurk, please send in the form to update the spreadsheet with your information to Saylin. 99% of the time, I am mobile because I have a teething, miserable 6, almost 7 month old. I cannot see signatures or timelines while mobile.

I do, however, have the spreadsheet open on another page to quickly review information on every case complete. It really helps to have that information on there, so please update.

Where in Mexico are you, if I may ask?

Dear VJers -

I obtained police certificate on November 2013 from India. I will be sending this to NVC. The PCC does not indicate an expiry date.

If I send this to NVC, do you know if they will accept it? Is there a validity date that NVC goes by?

The only validity date I found was on Packet IV instructions listed on Mumbai consulate's website. It says a year. If so, I am well within it.

Hey guys - On form I-864, do you use the total income on your tax return or the adjusted gross income?

If you are providing 3 years worth of tax information, use the total income for years you used the 1040, and adjusted gross for the years you used a 1040EZ.

Hey everyone - Can some of you guys take a look at my I-864 and let me know if I'm missing anything? I want to make sure I got everything before I send it to NVC on Monday.

1. Bar-coded cover sheet

2. cover sheet

3. Form I-864 Signed and dated

4. 2013 Tax return with w-2 and 1099-R, Form W-7 and letter electing to file jointly

5. 2012 Tax Transcript

6. 2011 Tax Transcript

7. Letter of Employment

8. 2014 paystubs

I printed our case number on avery label and placed it on the top right corner of every page, and I also made a 2nd copy of this exact same packet just in case. Is there any "gotcha's" or heads up that I should know about to avoid getting a checklist? Did you guys staple or paper clip similar documents together?

Don't staple!

I put a big clip on the top of everything.

Just double check you signed and dated. And also leave no blanks on the I864, everything should either have N/A or NONE written.

Thanks, I will inform you how the interview goes. Hopefully it will be soon. My husband has been in Mexico since November 2012 we have a 5 years old son together.Who still crys at night to see his daddy again. Wish you the best on your journey.

This is the third day that we haven't been able to pay.

Hi guys.. I'm just a little worried about my AOS packet? I sent it thursday apr. 24th thru USPS express mail with signature request. But now i checked the tracking it says mail was delivered today at 12 noon PAcific time. The thing is nobody sign the delivery for the obvious reason the nvc is closed sat & sun. I'm just worried my packet will get lost or misplaced or sumthing.. I hope not.. Is there a chance that a packet will get missing? I''m sure nvc has a drop box in case mail have to be delivered during weekends right?

Thanks Lucybelle - I'm confused here because if I'm not supporting anyone else beside the principal immigrant, would I still fill out N/A for all the family member fields. Also what about additional assets if I'm not required to fill it out? Technically, checking and savings accounts are applicable and I can't put none, but it is not required. So confused! :wacko: :wacko:

I am sure that you will have your interview in June, seeing as how the scheduling for June interviews will probably start in the beginning of May. Your family will be together soon! Good luck and keep us posted!
