I wouldn't worry, it took a week for NVC to register we sent our IV docs from the time USPS said they arrived, fingers crossed next week they will all be in the system...I even got a false checklist for them the day AFTER they were supposedly in the system!

I wouldn't worry. Mine was received on 9th and another on the 11th, and they weren't registered in their system till the 16th and 15th. I read in another post and it made sense, maybe they are purposely taking their time in registering incoming mail into their system because they are so backed up with their work. I know I would be the same way you are, and I would just send an e-mail. I'm sure your packages will be registered before they reply to the e-mail :)

For both of you, it was a week to at least acknowledge they received it. It took 7 days for one of mine, and the second package going on 11 days. I guess i'm just more worried since they are original documents. The AOS package, I can re-send. The originals will take anywhere from 1-4 months to get, just to get certified copies. I guess I'll try to focus my thoughts else where and just keep praying they start working on ALL of our cases faster.. :/

lol I'm sure they will probably reply to the email after my wife is here..

I paid my IV fees on 21-Apr and it still shows IN PROCESS as of today.

I called NVC about it and guess what?

They asked me to send an email to NVCInquiry@state.gov explaining the issue and attach a screen shot of my bank transaction to show the fee cleared my account.

I was like seriously? an email to NVCInquiry@state.gov will take a month to be responded to. The lady was like no, it should be quick and she laughed.

I have a bad feeling about this. Hopefully this will not end in a nightmare.

Will be praying for you that this is not another nightmare and you get quick response. (F) (F)

Finally our AOS fee is showing PAID. My husband said that he'll be sending our AOS packet on Monday. He's very particular too not to pay the IV fee unless the AOS has been cleared and he doesn't want to pay on the weekend again. So our IV fee will be paid on Monday.

Hey guys - For those that meet the 125% poverty guideline, did you also declare assets as well on your I-864? I'm not sure if I should because I'm well above the minimum requirement and they mentioned that it's not required if you are, but just seeing what everyone else did.

I didn't. It says that you don't need to.

EUGH i was so hoping we would get the court record back and sent off today by DHL, and it did come in the mail, but said the search was inconclusive- because it was more than 20 years ago- since he does not know the date of the arrest, it will make it hard to find it on Microfiche! It was thrown out of court and is not on any of his police records- he got the one the NVC wanted and a different kind too for Scotland.

So annoying that NVC want us to send it to them and not just take it to the interview- with a blank police record i thought that was what they do.

Now he has been sent to 2 different offices today, and back and forth with people.. apparently they can't just write a certified letter saying it has nothing coming up- because maybe somewhere in a file there is a microfiche on it.

Sigh! And now it is the weekend and nothing can be done until Monday. :huh2: I tried searching the forum for something similar to no avail.

Question: :huh2:

Someone told me that you'll receive a notification email when NVC assigns you a case number (assuming you have called them up to give them your email address).

Do you still need to call them up 2-3 times a week to find out if they have assigned you a case number like some NVC shortcuts suggest? Is it necessary? If so, why? :help:

I just don't want to call them up too often and increase my chances of getting a restraining order! LOL!

Been following your timeline

You have rolled through CEAC in 15 days.

You have a chance to do something that has not

been done many times for a normal case (non-expedited)

and that is to break 30 days from case# assigned to case complete.

I have watched as you have taken time to share what you have

learned along the way with many people.

God's blessings to you and all of us as we wait for the next step.

The interview email will arrive the same day it's scheduled. That one is more or less instant.

This is all the CC email is -

Dear Sir or Madam:

The National Visa Center has received all documentation necessary to complete pre-processing of your case. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner and attorney (if applicable) will be notified.

The applicant should NOT make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment until the US Embassy or Consulate General has issued a visa.

The US Embassy or Consulate General may require additional documentation at the time of the interview. Additional documentation requirements if applicable can be referenced at the following URL: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3742.html

That question is in case the foreign spouse has come to the US since filing the I-130 and wishes to adjust status. If the spouse is still abroad, this doesn't apply.

What form is this for the AOS or the IV? Just saving everything so I don't have to ask the same questions again. :) Ty (F) (F)

Just wonderful, congratulations to you and yours so very happy for you all. :):dancing:(F) (F) :dancing:

I saw a post where you were asking about free international phone calls. If you have a smart phone there's some apps that you can use. There's magic jack and also viber. Me and my hubby use viber. You can call and text for free. Also you can use Skype for phone calls from your computer. We also have the Skype app on our phones. Sometimes when viber doesn't have a good connection we can use it to call also.

Hope this is helpful. :).

Wow, I almost cried reading this post!!!

Thank you very much for these encouraging words!

I've been following your case all along and reading your posts all the time.

Your help with screen shots and timeline predictions is helping lots of people.

I wanna take the time to thank all the VJ family from the fairy Saylin to Kaylara, LoveMyTico, Changnoi, BOS_LHR, Ekec, Solenata and many more for teh big help and a wonderful community

It really is nice to have the morale support.. :) I feel a little alone though :( no one is talking about their checklists and how long it took to solve them - but there seem to be a lot on the spreadsheet.

Oh well i hope our back and forth journey will help some one one day searching about lack of court records easily on hand- apparently they only keep them available for 10 years in Scotland.
