I swear I should have hired one of you guys to do this for me since my lawyer is a royal screw up. She lost my tax returns and my original marriage certificate then told me I never gave them to her. Do any of you know if I can put a complaint against her to the BBB or Bar? She also told me I act like I know everything but I'm actually stupid and screamed at me to get out of her office. The only reason I haven't told her to stick it where the sun don't shine is because I know NVC is a bit shorter with a lawyer.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have waited for over a year to say this!!! I literally just screamed and did a cartwheel at work! :dancing:

CASE COMPLETE!!!!!!!

I emailed on Wednesday and put it to the attention of the DR and requested an immediate review of both cases for their #######-up of the civil documents. I don't know if it did anything but they case completed both parents yesterday! Jenny gave me the good news and I may have deafened her if any of y'all talk to her today ;)

Congratulations!! Now time for your parents to get ready for a June interview :dancing:

Guys, does anyone have any experience with foreign police certificates?I am getting 3 different answers from the NVC, So i have my UK one and sent it to the NVC with my IV supporting docs, however my HK one will be sent to the London Consulate directly by the HK police. Therefore, how and when does the NVC give me a case complete if the HK PCC is directly sent to the London consulate? I hear many police check countries do this - any help would be much appreciated!

I've lost track towards the end of the process, can anyone look at my signature and guess when am likely to get a case complete.

I would say your case is going to be completed around May 2nd - May 5th. NVC is taking three weeks to review IV packet and DS-260. Good luck!

We got another check-list today, neither on AOS nor on IV packet, but .... on the fact that our daugther (petitioner on IR5 for her 2 parents) submitted 2 copies of her birth certificate with I130 (USCIS step) which was acceptable for NOA2, but now NVC requires 2 certified copies of her birth certificate, one for each of her parents. We did not know and we had assumed that, if USCIS had approved the petition based on the copies, they would be merely transfered in the package between USCIS and NVC and it would be OK for NVC. Wrong! So we now have to get a second certified copy of her brith certificate in the US state where she was born and even with the online process, this will delay by another 2-3 weeks :angry:
