I got an AOS checklist a while ago, reason? On page 12 of the AOS I did not check the box if I am serving in the military so I hurriedly went to my saved AOS checked the right box, printed, mailed it overnight and called NVC after two days to confirm receipt

......Thank you for calling the National Visa Center, please be prepared.......By now some of us are familiar with that voice. I learned to press one before the instructions and kick-start start the 20 plus minutes wait. I was asked if I responded to the checklist, I told the lady at the other end that I already sent the corrected AOS, she told me to wait for a moment then came back with the "we received your AOS but have not reviewed it yet, give us 30 days" I almost........any way fast forward I received another checklist last week and was just about to go ballistic!, turned out to be the false one so now its another unpredictable wait.

I will be calling late afternoon today just to check if there is any progress. I will need to control myself otherwise I might reprimand whoever picks the phone for not initially calling me - in the first place- and checking that little box in the AOS - Humor. Lol

Danced a yard ere I danced abroad

Carpe Diem!

Hahahaaa very funny and the world is all messed up so what can I say. American means anyone born from Canada to the tip of South America yet most think it's only people from the USA. Big mistake there so everyone messes up, but very cute made me laugh. :)(F)

Don't forget that Canada is part of North America:) The US is of course the United States of America. We're both America :luv:

Hello Guys

We are Doing EP (Electronic Processing) for our case since it's eligible for that , we received a checklist for AOS on 20 Th March 2014 , and our lawyer responded to them by sending an email to nvcattorney@state.gov' on 24 March 2014 by sending them the corrected AOS , so we called NVC yesterday and the Agent told us that they did not receive anything , so is there any suggestions to know what happened , or shall we ask our lawyer to send the AOS again to them

Many Thanks

Emails take several weeks to a month at NVC before being responded to, so it will be awhile yet I'm afraid.

Does every month's NVC forum have this much activity. It's actually concerning to me and seems to speak for the backlog that the NVC piled up from all of the sudden approvals. But I could be wrong and just used to the slower pace of the USCIS monthly filer forums haha

Every month, the NVC thread moves into the next month, so there is really only one month of active NVC discussion. This month however does seem to be 'hot'! It's the backlog from USCIS last year that dropped so many of us into NVC around the same time/these last few months.

Sorry, am a little more lost now! LOL So, an AOS is an affidavit support? And there is a fee for that? I thought you just send it to your spouse at the time of interview. Could you go into alittle more detail about the AOS? Thanks for your patience!

Be sure to read Saylin's wiki found in the first post of this thread;)

Any one can advice me what to do. I done the ds-260 last January 31, 2014.and the document already send to the nvc it was delivered febuary 18, 2014 but until now no results for the nxt step. Tried to call the nvc to check the status they said that they did not got any of my document. But when i track it said that it was delivered already

That timeline is very unusual. Time to talk to someone at NVC who has better answers, ask for a supervisor?

wow this thread is moving fast!! I can't keep up and am only on page 309 out of 317 but have to go to work now lol... can't wait to see what I'm missing when I get home this evening

Priority date isn't an issue for IR1/CR1 filers.

Bangladesh seems to be a medium-volume consulate for Asia. Look at historical statistics for your consulate/embassy's volume of immediate relative visas here: http://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Statistics/AnnualReports/FY2013AnnualReport/FY13AnnualReport-TableXII.pdf

And for a breakdown of how many of each type of immediate relative visa were issued in 2013, look here: http://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Statistics/AnnualReports/FY2013AnnualReport/FY13AnnualReport-TableVIII.pdf

Submit all those things to NVC, and they'll forward them to the consulate when you get case complete :) Make sure you're using originals or certified copies.
