Is it too risky to send the IV packet on Moday even though i just paid it now? I went online and checked Fedex estimated delivery from Hong Kong to NVC is on May 1st if sent on Apr 28th. Will that give enough time for the IV bill to change from 'In process' to 'paid' before my packet arrives at NVC?

Has anyone any experience with changing case numbers at the NVC and how long this takes. When I submitted the i130 i was in HK, so i have an HNK number. We mailed them this change about 3 weeks ago, however they have said that my new address is on the system, but as yet no LDN case number.

They have also said we can process the case (i.e: send in the docs as normal) under the HNK number, which i have done, but surely they should change this soon!

Sorry I can't answer you but you will get answers it's just people (most) are sleeping right now so check back later. All will be well just take a

deep breath and wait. Also you can go to the first page and click on links you can find a lot of information there until you get one here. Good luck.

Omg I'm so sorry this is taken so long for you. Have you tried to talk to a Supervisor?. It seems like they really want you to wait the full 30 business days!! That's so unfair, I waited 23 calendar days after submitting the DS-261, it was a really long wait compared to most timelines here, but yours is so unacceptable. Call and talk to a supervisor!

There is another user waiting since March 19, I think from Russia. I'll call next week, what if i call they will tell me there is still not 30 business days ))

I think it depends on the Insurance and/or the employer. My company is self insured, and Blue Cross Blue Shield administers the plan. They wouldn't let me add my wife during last years open enrollment period, because she couldn't show six months residency in the US.

My husband's coverage is from Optima under his employer... I guess we'll never know until he calls them to clarify But thanks for the input!

from your sheet, I can guess that many fillers isn't give you any updates after they received case number from NVC.

They might left VJ.

So how long you keep them in your sheet?

Or you just keep them no matter what.

Congrats Deep for your case is back to NVC....What did u do to get the case back to NVC?How did they notify You about the case?What were the reasons they gave for NVC taking your case back??

I would like to ask one more question. I mailed my AOS package today and now my IV fee has also cleared. Do i need to wait till my AOS is approved to send in the IV package? Or can i send it in a day or two. Also i am not sure if my AOS will be accepted as it does not contain the 2013 Tax return (Self employed and waiting to file an extension). So do you guys recommend i send in the IV package or wait for the AOS to get approved?

How does the interview scheduling process work per your conversation with her?

The embassies submit a schedule to the NVC with their available appointments. there is no specific timeline to get an interview. Once you get a case complete, you go into a queue for an interview that is separated by country. So I guess it depends on the number of immigrants for each country.

Don't wait, send it now. There's no requirement for AOS to be approved or even submitted before you send in the IV, they're not related to each other. Get the IV done now and it's one less thing holding you up, especially if you get checklisted for 2013 taxes.
