Yes, you're technically a visitor in Mexico because that's your visa status in Mexico. However, they might think you're more than a visitor because you have been "living" there for three years. I honestly don't know. I think it's up to NVC and Juarez Consulate in your case.

I'm kind of worried about the domicile thing for myself, but it looks like the most important things are job and lease in the US. If you can get one of them (both if possible), you'll increase your chances of not getting a checklist or having a problem at the interview. My fingers are crossed for both of us!

I think i saw people mention DHL here? If i can save myself 300$ change flight fee (by getting a june interview) then sending a package DHL for 38-50 bux is SO worth it.

Hmmm...before coming to Mexico, I lived at the address for my whole life (25 years in the U.S.). haha It's not like I went and bought a P.O. Box. My parents still live there, too. I will also be renewing my driver's license when I go to visit my family in June. That should be good evidence too, right?

It looks like you should be good to go with all of your proofs.

I would think you would be living with your parents until you work and find a place of your own? If so they can write a letter stating that you will be staying with them until your back on your feet. At least something like that and they will take that even better if they are sponsoring your case. (F)

NVC reported having issues with their computer systems. Right now they are hoping for a fix tomorrow!!!!

Alright folks, I think the NVC is currently working on mails scanned into their system on the 9th of April. my packet was scanned into their system on 4/14 So from the look of things, I can deduce that we will receive case complete somewhere next week. I hope I get a June interview though.

Hey guys a couple question on this form

- part 2 question 2a - Is this my foreign spouses' mailing or my mailing address here in the US?

- part 2 question - Vietnam is not listed on the dropdown options should i select "Unlisted Entry (Any foreign country not listed")

- part 4 question 7 - I was born in a village with no town or city name, should I leave this blank and enter the name of the province?

- part 6 question 5 - It is asking for my current individual income, do I just enter my annual salary or should I also add in bonuses as well?

- part 6 question 13 - I have filed for an extension for the 2013 tax year because I'm applying for an ITIN for my wife, should I check this box? It is also asking whether or not I have attached a transcript or copy of my Federal Tax return for only the most recent tax year.

Nope, VJ is not my site (VJ has been around for much longer than just 2012). I wish it was, I'd probably be earning a lot off ad revenue! But alas, I'm a regular member, just like you. No, I was in the works of creating my own website, just information-based (no forums). I haven't worked on it in quite awhile though (there's actually a live version out there ) and I'm not sure if I'll ever finish. Even if I do though, I won't be able to publicize it here as I believe that's against TOS.

i got this email from nvc my expedite with the embassy got approved ...

can someone please help and let me know how the process goes with the embassy and the average time

Thank for you suggestions and help! I hope I don't have any problems! I really don't want to be separated from my spouse any more than I have to if it comes down to going to the U.S. first to find a job and a place to live.

From all of the pieces of evidence you were talking about before, I really don't think you will have any problems, especially because you already have a place to live and your spouse has a job set up.

I might just do that! We really won't be living with my parents though, but I thought it might be good to write a letter, saying that they would allow us to live there "if need be".
