Because I join tax with my husband, so the total income is not my individual income . It is the earned income-secondary in tax transcript? or what line in tax return? Thank you for your helps.

I petition my mom. I'm the US Citizen.

Just to be certain, are you referring to the part where you have to write the "total income" for your 3 years of tax returns? Or the section where it asks for your individual annual income (current)?

Last year Saylin recorded 88 case completes from members here. There are already 38 listed for the first quarter of 2014, so we're on track for at least double the number of cases to get through NVC this year. Given there are 220 pending members listed on the sheet I would guess it'll be substantially more than double. Obviously VJ is a tiny sampling of national cases and many people even on this site choose not to report... but basically, after the quiet of last year's backlog, NVC is getting slammed. Just good perspective for anyone getting started with the process now. I hope NVC keeps up those weekends of overtime!

I think we have two things that's impacting the list size.

I think the overall load at NVC is growing as the USCIS is finally clearing their backlogs. But, now due to the backlogs; VJ has a bigger community and a more involved members who are wanting to track their status due to the unacceptable delays.

The sample size we have now on the USCIS monthly spreadsheets and the NVC spreadsheets is very good. It's statistically significant to provide us a good indication on seeing the progress throughout the process.

Wow 100K cases? I hope that was not in one day??? That could explain the almost 6 week turn around time to get a case #. I know I waited 5 weeks to the day from the date the NVC recieved my case. Crossing my fingers I can get through the NVC stage fast.

I hope not either. Mine is completed but that would suck for others. But she told me mine could take 6 weeks or maybe even longer because of that and it was completed just a few days later so I wouldn't go by the standard answer they give. Luck to you.

Oh thank God! My package was just signed for at the NVC! So glad it's not lost! Now we WAIT again an see what happens! I feel like I'm back in the game after sitting in the sidelines for a week and a half! Thanks for the encouragement!

No problem, I'm relieved for you. I waited an entire month to pay the IV bill after the AOS because they hadn't reviewed my ds-261. I finally asked for a supervisor and she unlocked it for me and I was able to pay a few days later. I could've been done about 2-3 weeks ago probably but oh well. Happened for a reason.

Its so close to the April 15 filing date

why not take those 2013 W-2s and put them to good use.

File a paper return for 2013. Can be done quickly and not delay your AOS.

Pay stubs Oct, Nov and Dec 2013 Jan, Feb and Mar 2014

Federal Tax Returns plus W-2s, Schedules ect for 2011, 2012 and 2013

Letter from Employer

Before interview go online IRS website and print out your tax transcripts.

These should already be available for your 2011 and 2012 returns.

Make sure your paper returns or transcripts say MFS or MFJ or HOH !!

I asked this question in interviews thread and I want to ask here too, regarding i864EZ eligibility, in my case petitioners status is as below:

2013 tax year = 60, 000 W2 income only
2012 tax year= 50, 000 W2 + 3500 (business income )
2011 tax year= 50, 000 W2 + 3500 (business income )
Sponsoring only 1 person that is spouse spouse.....
Will I be eligible for a I864-EZ?

In my household for taxes its me and my husband, for the joint sponsor possibly my father has everyone in family except me.

On the I-864, on the section where it asks you to calculate household size, it lists:

a) person you are sponsoring;
b) yourself;
c) spouse if married;
d) dependent children;
e) any other dependents;
f) anyone you've sponsored previously;
g) anyone else in the household who is filling out an I-864A.

So When I calculate house hold size through poverty guidelines:

where will my husband fall under? Is he counted in my updated AOS and my dad's AOS too ? and when the joint sponsor fills out AOS will I be counted in his household?

Also, I file I864EZ + joint sponsor files I864?

As far as I know (and others should correct me), I don' think you can negotiate with NVC about interview dates. Once NVC schedules the interview, you can call the embassy/consulate and try to pre-pone it if they have a slot open.

Hope we all get done with NVC very very soon.

I had filed EZ previously without joint sponsor.

(need to resubmit AOS with joint sponsor to embassy)

Thanks. Will share this with my wife.

The nice thing about transcripts is that is all you need for that tax year.

No W-2s 1099 ..schedules...ect....as you would need with a paper return.

i want to know that my wife has submitted AOS package yesterday and she includes her 2 years tax info and her uncle which is her co-sponser has given his last three years info in AOS package, so i want to know is there any problem with the package or it is correct . Please advice
