In the exact same boat. But today they tell me I SHOULD be able to pay. I am a Mac user, so they told me only IE will work. (Even though I paid AOS just fine)

Went next door to use neighbor's IE...same thing...the yellow triangle. :ranting:

I called back and spoke with Gina. Very nice! She says it is not a browser issue, but an issue on their end. So everyone who has received notice via email in the past 3-4 days...it is a problem on their end. Gina says a) mail the payment in b) maybe the system will be repaired by the end of the day or tomorrow!

It is just the delay and the waiting game

Was hoping for a random early case number assignment for my birthday, but no such luck. Well, hubby's birthday is next week (April is an expensive month, with 5 family birthdays in it!) so maybe when I call next week we'll have one. Otherwise, I'm still expecting it around May 5 or 6. Looking forward to getting going on all this!

Is your timeline updated?

Yes, my sister has already agreed to be our joint sponsor. I plan on including a small letter with the AOS, saying why I didn't file for the past 3 years. For proof of domicile, I still use my parents' address for all of my bank/credit card statements and I also maintain my driver's license with that address. I'm pretty sure I might have my voter registration card with that address as well. I hope that will be sufficient.

I think someone recently posted that they got checklisted even though they had a US address, US bank account, driver's license, etc. :dead:

I guess it's because anyone can get a US address (renting a PO Box), US bank account, and driver's license (once they lived in the US).

I don't know what else you can do besides moving back to the US now and landing a job.

I'm in a similar situation since my partner and I both live outside of the US. We're planning to mail the following:

- Letter from my partner's US employer stating he will be working from Seattle (telecommuting)

- Buyer's agency agreement from a real estate agent from Seattle (we hired him as a buyer's agent to buy a house in Seattle)

- Letter from a seller's agent to sell our townhouse in Vancouver, BC (we're selling our townhouse in order to move to the US)

- US bank account

- US address (PO Box)

- Voter registration

- US tax transcripts (2013, 2012, and 2011)

Fingers crossed that we won't get checklisted!

When did NVC receive your case? When you call they will be able to give you the 'official' receipt date. From that date it could be 3 to 6 weeks (more likely about 4 weeks) to get the Case # and IIN. So you have to keep calling them at least once a week. Meanwhile make sure your AOS and IV packages are in 'ship-shape' and ready to be Express mailed. Any delay on your part will only delay the Case Complete.

Thank you! I'll be working on the AOS and the IV package now. I would have waited for the correspondence from the NVC if you did not tell me they can be done now.

You'll also have to pass Montreal's inspection. If Montreal is tough on one thing, it's domicile. I highly suggest you check out the pinned thread on that very subject in the Canadian regional forums. Good luck.

Hi, did you receive that famous IV fee mail, because i submitted the DS261 form on march 24, IV fee unlocked since march 25, called many times, and all i get was wait 30 business days, lately it will be any day soon...

thanx
