Here is Kaylara's list of some of the nicer people at NVC.....not sure if there is an updated version of the list.

Add Amanda in there - when I was having a mental breakdown over my parent's checklist the other night on the phone at 10:30pm, she was a rockstar, very compassionate and was trying to make me laugh saying that at least I wasn't from some off the wall country where I would have to wait for months for a interview - we then randomly started talking about how she would like to go to Zimbabwe lol. She was totally sweet even though it was late and she was nearing the end of her shift telling me that she knows its hard but to hang in there.

I-130 for both parents

March 28th 2013 - Priority date/ NOA 1
November 14th 2013 - Transferred to Nebraska Service Center

January 7th 2014 - Case changed online to approved for both

January 8th 2014 - case changed to shipped to NVC

January 9th 2014 - case changed to NOA 2 mailed

January 10th 2014 - Received the hardcopy of the NOA 2 stating that NVC would issue a case number in 30 days approx.

January 21st 2014 - Case Received at NVC

February 26th 2014 - Case numbers and IIN number received - Wrong embassy code assigned...now waiting for new case numbers.

March 3rd 2014 - Filled in DS-261 for both parents

March 5th 2014- AOS available, paid and submitted AOS packet.

March 6th 2014 - USPS shows packet was delivered at NVC

March 10th 2014 - AOS shows as paid in the CEAC portal/AOS logged into system as being received by NVC.

March 11th 2014 - New case number assigned for my Dad.

March 20th 2014 - Paid IV fee for my Mum.

March 25th 2014 - AOS accepted by NVC with no checklist.

March 26th 2014 - Filled in and submitted DS-260 for my Mum

March 31st 2014 - AOS found in my Mum's file for my Dad - accepted and placed into his file/IV fee available for my Dad and Paid.

April 1st - Mailed all civil documents to NVC for both parents.

April 3rd: IV fee shows as paid in portal/submitted DS-260 for my Dad.

April 22nd: checklist issued for civil documents - NVC error ...

April 23rd: sent another certified copy of my marriage certificate

April 24th: Case complete! :)

April 30th 2014 - Medical scheduled for parents at Knightsbridge in London

June 11th: Interview at London Embassy - Approved :)

They seem to be slowing down at this time compared to previous timelines that I've seen :(

Really? Because a month or two back is just finishing up now. (I'm one of them.) I think that they're actually improving in comparison to End of Jan-Beginning of March.

Welcome !

Your K3 will be cancelled. Plan on going the I-130 route. There was one that got through to the embassy but it was cancelled and transferred to an I -130. Mine was cancelled a day or two after it got to the NVC. Look at my signature. I prayed for the K3... Its fine though.. I was mad at first but I made up the time.

Hi LoveMyTico! I got case complete on my I-130 case already last April 17 and waiting for the interview date. Just now I got a letter that my I-129F has been with a status "Ready" since Feb 3. What do you think, should I just ignore it and it will be automatically being cancelled or call NVC for them to cancel it? Will it affect my I-130 case? Thanks.

my 2 minors are case complete too...unfortunately for me, checklist was issued husband did not tick a box on part4 line12 - military service< yes> < no> . and they wouldn't let us just bring the corrected form at USEM...

I just gave my two weeks' notice at work and accepted a new job offer! Time to redo my AOS and get a new copy to England for the interview >.> I definitely had not planned on taking a new position prior to my husband moving here and getting situated in a job himself, but I guess life likes messing with people who think they have a plan :lol:

anyone to confirm what's just said.

i've read here a couple of times that you only need to resend the page where the correction is, not the entire i-864.

or maybe its just me overead everything and now my mind is hangin up..., got to reboot my head now, for all i thought we'll be having interview this june...

FYI : issued a checklist for not ticking a box on page4 Part4 item12 / MILITARY SERVICE yes no

You have to send the the whole form/ all pages....
