I managed to get through pretty easily - only waited about 20 mins.

They received our case on April 21st, so I imagine we will get a case number in a couple of weeks. Just need to keep on calling!

hehe I love how "only 20 minutes on hold" is GREAT compared to USCIS!

Same here.. The IV Fee has the yellow triangle and I can click Pay but when it goes to the payment page there is no select box yet. I'm getting impatient and checking it every couple of hours.

any update CanGirl? still no Select box to click on the fee center :ranting:

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone could help me.

I am a little bit confused about the AOS. I currently reside in Australia with my husband (I am the USC). I am employed here but I also have accepted a job offer in the USA and my income will be above the poverty level. I do not start that job until July 28th but I do have an employment contract listing my income.

Because we are submitting our AOS in the next week or so, I have asked my Mom to be a joint sponsor for me. But in the section of the AOS where it asks my employment, should I put my current job, or my job in the USA?

And, is this the correct way of going about it? I can't use myself as a sponsor as I would have no pay stubs for my USA job yet because I have not started. Is this correct? There is a section in the AOS Instructions that state, "You may include evidence supporting your claim about your expected income for the current year if you believe that submitting this evidence will help you establish ability to maintain sufficient income". Could I do this?

Thank you so much!

Okay so here's a pretty weird, random and bordering-on-stupid question. Do you think I could be added to my husband's insurance now even before I'm in the USA? Here's the reason. We really wanna get pregnant as soon as I get there and we're hoping to get a head start on any waiting periods the insurance has before they cover maternity. It's usually a 6 to 9 month wait before the insurance kicks in, so if he adds me in now in May and I get there in August or September, we save about 4-5 months and then have to wait less time before actually getting pregnant. Does that make sense? Anyone?

Joanna, he can add you to his insurance.....my husband did that last year!

I work abroad, I put the school where I am employed but current annual income $0. Make sure to write a cover letter addressing this! I got a checklist for "proof of employment" even though I don't need to submit it since I'll be quitting my job to move to the USA. I was told to write that in a letter.

Received actual checklist on AOS (864-EZ) today; reason: the income showed for the most recent tax year (2013) on 864-EZ did not match what was in the 1040 -

Completed a new 864-EZ, with the correct income, and FedEx it overnight.

So you included a cover letter detailing your situation and also included a letter? Or you wrote a letter later? And to whom did you write the letter? So did you use a joint sponsor as well?

I didn't include it originally with the AOS packet because I didn't know to. I received a checklist for "proof of employment" and when I called and said I worked abroad they told me to write a cover letter explaining that and to send it in. So if I were you, I'd just address the issue in the original cover letter you send with your AOS.

I didn't use joint sponsor, I'm using assets.
