just got off the phone w/ Ms. Joy, well she's in a good mood :thumbs::secret: and her voice was modulated into sweet , told me the usual 30 dayreview. hoping ours will be reviewed in just under 13 days like others..

She must be on drugs! :rolleyes: Or she knows about the list................ :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

Case completed this morning... 2 wks and half a day for them to review the IV checklist.. They're taking longer than they were a few wks back.. Good luck to all!

I called today, and got news of my case complete.

Super excited, but I'm surprised that the operator told me my case was complete on April 15th.

I had called on Monday the 21st, and was told I was still in processing. Is there some delay in putting this into their systems, like with everything else at the NVC?

04/21/2014 nice lady from NVC confirm that they received my IV package today. .

Hey guys - After submitting my DS-261 I got an email and this was mentioned "If the applicant plans to adjust status with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, please tell us before paying any fees or taking further action."

what does that mean?

thanks for the reply. So according to your timeline the K-3 didn't really help at all? I was at least hoping since i got approved that it would force them to move the I-130 through faster so they could be matched up.

Hello, this question is just cause I'm curious and clueless but why would you file for both? One is for married the I-130 and the other is fiance am I correct? So the I-130 would mean your married which would automatically cancel I-129f correct? (F) (F)

what does that mean?

They want to first find out from you if your spouse is already in the united states and if so you should rather apply to adjust status as oppose to applying for a visa.

I had to call again... Talked to Jack !! He sounds young but he was super nice ..

OK, so up til now I didn't ask why my file got a case number the same day it was received.. He said that it was probably PURE luck because he never ever saw that happen. Somebody was probably sorting through the mail, matching K3s with I-130s and they entered mine by mistake or somebody was working on the wrong box. Either way, I told him he can send a thank you note to that person. He said even if he could see who it was , they probably work a different shift.

So, he said the K3 probably helped but he can't say for sure. Also it won't negatively effect my case..

I was able to pay everything within days. It went really fast.

He also explained again that they will look at my first package and send out a checklist for the items that are incorrect on the lawyer's AOS. Then a couple days later they will process my corrections.

He said the files get scanned when received and placed on a shelf and they get processed in the order in which they were received. And of course I had to add my comments about the USCIS being the total opposite.

He gave me the 30 day talking to and said I am calling way to early. I told him we have a spreadsheet that says 2 weeks. HA HA

Yep, it is dumb. I guess they figure if you can't complete each step then you aren't actually in the queue. One baby step at a time.... I swear they should do the USCIS and the NVC step all in one. What is the point of having 2 separate centers?

I would hate to think what would happen if the __________ (fill in the blank) at USCIS had this part of the nightmare in their hands.

I don't drink but there are times I would love to get drunk. :D:pop:

I just broke down now, crying my heart out, just got a checklist for birth certificate, that it's not original, that's the only original I have, don't know what to do.

You should be able to get a certified copy/original from the town you were born in :)

Question ladies and gentleman ........could i use the same translation i used on the i-130 with the marriage certificate or would that be a red flag?

Yes, you can. But, you don't need to send a translation to NVC if your marriage certificate is in Spanish (Dominican Republic language). That's only needed for USCIS.

Case completed today finally! Now waiting for interview. I would like to thank everyone here especially Saylin.

Thanks to the Lord, we got Case Complete today!!! No checklists or anything!!! Woohoo!! :luv: :dance: :dancing:

After I got the news from NVC I called my baby and he was so excited when I told him the great news!! :dancing:
