That may vary by country actually. I thought the same thing (that flu season ends at the end of March), but when I went to my medical at the beginning of April, I was informed it was still flu season (until the end of April) and I needed a flu shot. I was pissed, cause I hadn't read that anywhere (not here on VJ, not on USCIS/NVC's website, not on CDC's website), otherwise I would have gotten a (free) flu shot before hand

For non-EP folk, it takes about 7 days to receive the case complete email. You should be getting it sometime this week, even today possibly ;)

Oh that stinks!! For hubby's country they said 3/31 was the cut off. So it seems as though it varies. But still it's almost the end of April so most people should be good to go! (Hopefully!). :)

Aww thank you I did get a letter from USCIS saying they sent it to NVC last week and I called yesterday and nothing. I was sent to the arm pit of all service centers Nebraska. But thank God I'm out of there now. I was lucky I guess wasn't asked for anything just waited like an idiot.

I'll make sure to call when they open and then at night if there is still nothing. Talked to Jim and he said to wait at least a week more hahaaa but as he said that I was thinking yeah right I'll wait a week. :P But he was very nice. Thank you for asking that is very kind of you. :)(F) (F) One for you and one for your love. :)

It takes roughly 2 weeks for NVC to receive your packet from "shipped" message. When did you get "we have shipped your approved..." message?

Just remember guys, the case complete email isn't actually needed for anything and doesn't tell you anything you don't know from speaking to an operator. In fact, my letter told me less, because it didn't mention my actual completion date. The case complete email is just a finger-wag reminding you not to book any travel, sell off worldly possessions, etc. :P The good stuff comes in the interview letter! Hopefully those will start going out in a week or so :) I can't wait to see the good news pouring in!

I can't wait either. I'm bouncing off the walls! And ceiling! Lol!!!!! :)

This is extremely unusual and very suspicious. Specially, these last few weeks me and many of my friends have been receiving calls from the 'IRS' - pay up or else the feds will be knocking on your door.

There is actually a "fraud alert" on the website that talks about this kinda stuff

Talked to Kelly this morning at the NVC.

She told me that they review the DS260 first. And it takes 30 days for them to review it.. Then they review the AOS and IV.

Obviously an inaccurate answer . I really hate the 30 day line they give.

I was really just checking to see if they did anything with my case since I called yesterday morning. I know I'm jumping the gun a little.

After waiting 11 months at the USCIS, I just want the NVC part to be over. :protest:

I got the same answer...but obviously untrue. Everything they need is there and they haven't even touched it yet!! We are just hoping for a June interview...we are May 2013 filers and after USCIS we want it DONE!!! :ranting:

If you'll be the one sending in the IV package, then yes, that would work. If your husband will be sending in the IV package and you'll be sending him all of the other documents required for IV, then he can hang onto it. I'm not sure what your situation is:)

ok since its all his information ill just have him send this packet off.. Thanks!!

I received an official checklist yesterday and it was different from what was discussed when I called them. I called and spoke to Amanda who is super nice and very funny but I am not calling at 10:30pm again...I was tired, emotional and for the first time ever I broke down on the phone, because I felt that I had done my part and sent all the required documents, but someone there who had reviewed my parents files had not done their job properly. If it wasn't for their errors, we would be sitting with two complete cases now.

Amanda was really nice telling me that she had to tell me the standard 30 days to review but that they were moving faster these days. I am sending another certified copy of my marriage certificate today in the mail along with the receipt from the county clerk's office. I am also sending emails to the higher ups mentioned in the FOIA letter suggesting that the reviewers take the time to thoroughly examine the documents, so that they don't create more work for themselves in having to issue checklists and re-review. That all costs time and money to them. I'm also planning to comment that education is needed for Ireland vs. Northern Ireland.

Unfortunately I think we are kissing a June interview goodbye :(
