NVC Filers - April 2014

Hi all,

I received my NOA 2 on 3/27/14 and it left NBC on 3/31/14. I'm waiting for my NVC case # and feeling so impatient! I just want to see my honey already! Thanks for the support group. Although I haven't posted before, I've been keeping up with this forum. Awesome group. I hope you all get great news soon!!

I am also part of the july 2013 class. Feel blessed that i was approved quite early but its really sad that some of them are still waiting for approval. Prayers for them.

So bkghosh, are you calling NVC to check if interview is scheduled? I dont know if i should wait till next week ..Are you going to call them?

Actually I have not received the CC email yet. Now starting to worry a little. I do not think they are going to schedule June interviews before next week at the earliest. So no point calling them this week to enquire about June interview.

Welcome to the family Dorii! It's gonna take you about a month so hang in there. In the meantime, you can continue keeping up with everyone here. I promise you each one of us is going through very similar struggles and are truly a support for one another. It's going to be better than USCIS for sure...

Wow, I am amazed that you guys have a record of who picks up the call at NVC. Haha, whenever I call, I'm so tired of being on the line that it takes me a second to keep track, I don't get a chance to catch their name since I am so excited they picked up. Will see who I get next time I call NVC though! Seems like they are really, busy and closing earlier. I called at 11pm and didn't go through.

I know, it was easy at first but it seems everyone is calling at night so they lines are totally locked up and you can't get through. Maybe if you call at 10 it would be better. Last person I talked to was Jim he's a nice guy very helpful and professional. (F)

I am feeling super frustrated because my IV fee hasn't been invoiced yet. I called and they said they have to review my choice of agent first...it's been 2 weeks since I completed the choice of agent! :(

I feel your pain. I've submitted this form 1 month ago, but still not available to pai IV fee. Operators told me to wait for 30 business days, they have to review this form

Why in the world does it take so long there?

They use the excuse that they have to close because of the demonstrations most of them didn't even come close to the Embassy only twice maybe three times, so they have been closing a lot and backing us all up . In a way I can understand but in another I can't because I want this to go fast. Plus I don't know if all Embassy's are the same but the counselors and pretty much every one that works there US or Egyptian and just plain mean and rude. I mean there was one counselor that told the beneficiary, Quote why don't you marry a really young Egyptian woman and have kids with her. His wife had kids from her first marriage and on top of that he laughed when he saw his wedding pictures and was just horrible. This is common place and why they have four inches of plexiglass to protect them.

Did your application reach NVC yet?

I noticed that you got approved on 4/8 (what service center?).

It's possible that your application has arrived at NVC by now.

Okay so here's a pretty weird, random and bordering-on-stupid question. Do you think I could be added to my husband's insurance now even before I'm in the USA? Here's the reason. We really wanna get pregnant as soon as I get there and we're hoping to get a head start on any waiting periods the insurance has before they cover maternity. It's usually a 6 to 9 month wait before the insurance kicks in, so if he adds me in now in May and I get there in August or September, we save about 4-5 months and then have to wait less time before actually getting pregnant. Does that make sense? Anyone?

I wouldn't hold my breath, we had CC on the 12th April and still no email ! What is keeping them ? Best of luck to you
