I don't see why not it's just a payment and why can't you pay it if they are away? I think either one is fine but someone correct me if I'm wrong.

We've actually given the lawyers their fees as well as money for the AOS and IV fees when we hired them. So they have all our money!!! :ranting:

If we go ahead and pay it now, we may never get back the money we've already paid them... Dont you just hate it when lawyers take their own sweet time!

Do I just speak to whoever answers the phone, or do I need to speak to a tier 2?

You can speak to the person who answers the phone. You are now considered the principal applicant so they will speak with you about your case.

When you call just remember that it may take a few (ok a LOT) of tries to get through. You'll keep getting a busy signal but just keep redialing. Since you are calling from Australia I would suggest using Google voice (free), or Skype, some phone apps work as well. I was using Magic Jack on my phone but it stopped working for me so I use Google Voice now.

hi....i have a question about i864,i sent the package already with last 3 years return and i dont meet income requirements for all three,but just got promoted and i would exceed the poverty guidelines,my question is would they (embassy)consider my new income eligible even though i wont be able to provide other than a job letter and probably 2-3 month pay stubs till the interview date,thanks

I don't have much experience but I think that would be sufficient. Your job letter should state your current position with the company, when you were hired, and how much money you will making. If possible even how long you will be at the company (to the foreseeable future or something to that affect) meaning that it's not a temporary job. Just in case I would still use your joint-sponsor if you have one. Or get a joint sponsor in case they don't accept it.

Salam,

Did you include the employment letter with the initial AoS packet (I-864)?

If you did not and you do not meet the minimum income, NVC will issue you a checklist and will not allow your case to move forward.

So, again if you did not send the new employment letter with the initial I-864, go ahead and prepare a new I-864 and make sure you include your new expected yearly salary.

I was told that they Accepted my AOS and my DS-260 when I called to check on AOS. But when I called in regards to the false checklist for my IV docs they said DS-260 wouldn't be reviewed until IV docs where submitted. So I'm with you, I have no clue. It's a guessing game as everything seems to be when it comes to NVC.

They review whatever they get first ;) It would be silly of them (re: longer processing times) if they waited for everything before reviewing a case's paperwork.

Maybe they have a forum just like this one! Called antivj! To help them answer our very intelligent questions. Or perhaps even a support group... Vjers' Recovery Support Group. I wonder if Obamacare would cover it :rofl:

first , thank you for everything you done for us.

i submit my DS 260 on april 9th. so should i call now and ask if they accepted or not?

i though they need to review DS 260 until they receive IV package.

if it is not, should i call then???

i called yesterday and ask about my AOS package that they received on april 8th. but the lady said it will need 30 business day to reviewed it.

as much as i read , it less then 30 business day.

but mine is not accepted yet..

so might be something wrong or still early to be accepted??

hey...i did send an employment letter initially with AOS about a month ago and since nvc already reviewd it and im just waiting on case complete i wont submit new i 864...just got promoted this week so im going to mail that letter with my new pay stubs to my wife to bring to interview..thanks

Rang and spoke to Lexi this morning. She really isn't a morning person. Had a glimmer of hope when she asked for the beneficiary name and date of birth, and then she realised that she had typed in the incorrect receipt number and gave me the '30 business days' script. No case number yet. Sigh.

Wonder who I will get when I call later in the week... ;)

Hmmm I got Lexi before, she's the one who gave me our case number and she was really nice to me then.
