Rang and spoke to Lexi this morning. She really isn't a morning person. Had a glimmer of hope when she asked for the beneficiary name and date of birth, and then she realised that she had typed in the incorrect receipt number and gave me the '30 business days' script. No case number yet. Sigh.

wow, now you have me worried. The only birth cert my husband had was the original LONG form. (legal sized) It is yellow and has the registration numbers going down the side. If that's not good enough, my husband will have to go downtown to the registry and get a certified copy. That will suck.

I swear they r idiots. The one I sent is the long form I think in Dominican Republic it's called "acta inextensa" and the husband legalized it (so it comes with a barcode and some stamps on it" . Don't worry as much ull prob get someone that knows what they are doing fingers crossed

Last week my husband took his vaccination record to his family doctor with the list of what is needed for immigration. He needed 3 vaccinations. His insurance covered it. Had took care of it so he wouldn't get slammed with a $400.00 bill at his medical appt.

I would suggest getting whatever you need before your medical appt. They will charge top dollar for the vaccinations at that appt. Just because they can. And if you decide to go elsewhere and go back to save money, they will charge you the Medical fee again.

What do you mean by the last part is there some other medical exams he can take at his Dr's or should only the vaccinations be done outside

the specific Dr's on the immigration list? So sorry just want to be 100% sure. So thankful to you.

I'm curious, we pay for the IV not sure how much but then when you go to the Embassy they have the beneficiary pay for the Visa is this separate and can't we pay it if it's another fee?

Nope, you only go to the Dr. listed. I just sent my husband to get his immunizations early at his family doctor because I know how my husband hates to part with his money !!

The one my husband's mother gave us is the original. When I unfolded it to copy it I had to be super careful.

I thought it might fall apart in my hands. I had to make a color copy because I couldn't read it otherwise. I hope NVC is careful with it !!

Xprecious, did you call NVC to find out that your AOS and DS-260 were accepted or did you get an email?

I'm really confused about the email thing - I gave NVC our emails when they gave me our case number and IIN. To this date, neither of us, NOR our attorney, has received ANY emails. Not when our invoices were available. Not when they received/scanned our AOS or IV packets.

I stayed on top of NVC and paid the invoices as soon as they were available. Should I be worried about not getting ANY emails? When do emails normally get sent?

I received emails for DS-261, AOS fee and IV fee and I just got a false checklist email for the DS-260. I called yesterday to get a case update and that's when I found out the AOS and DS-260 were approved. I would just call up NVC and ask for a case update, and make sure that the emails they have on file are correct.

Did you ever wonder that if you had gotten the enroll properly accepted first it wouldn't have taken so long for the AOS?

Well, the first ENROLL I sent was on the 19th of March, the second one was on the 25th(the one they responded too), and they received the first AOS that I sent on March 26- (the earliest I could send it and the one they responded to). They received and approved my AOS in under 20 business days. I don't think they would have gone any faster had they received my first ENROLL. The going rate for replying to emails is 20 business days and the received and approved them in just under that. I just think it's taking them a long time to review emails.

Spoke to Arthur this morning... He was fine... just needed another cup of coffee.

I asked about my husband's birth cert. He looked up some information for Costa Rica. He said as long as it is from the registry we should be fine.

and then threw out the "please wait 30 days for us to review your documents"

I know its only Tuesday..... Hopefully something this week or early next week before the end of the month !!! COME ON NVC.. HOOK ME UP !!!

The IV fee is $230. I'm not sure what fee at the embassy you're referring to; there's the new $165 fee that has to be paid through ELIS after the visa is approved, but that's not due at the embassy. There are sometimes delivery fees to get your documents and passport w/visa back but I know at least for London it can be prepaid for home delivery if you wish, or you can pick it up for free at one of a number of depots around the country.

NVC has received my DS-260 supporting documents. Called to check on the false checklist I got. Ruth told me they received an email from me on the 17th, which is when I sent the second DS-260 documents. Now to wait 20 business days. I was hoping they received the one I sent April 4. I can still hope. I just think the 4th didn't get recognized in the system because I sent it before ENROLL acceptance. Some human may pick it up though.

Question: Is it alright to take a vacation while my father's case is still on going? I'm planning to visit my family this coming July and I'm not quite sure if that's allowed?

I noticed you got the CC email today. That means mine is coming probably tomorrow or the day after....Hoping for a early June interview now. When will they start the June interviews?

Sadly they have completed the scheduling for May interviews.

My hope, prayer and expectation is that I will hear something in the

first week of May about a June interview date.

They typically schedule the interviews a minimum of 30 days out from

the date they notify you to give you time to schedule medical and or make

travel plans. The May scheduling session for June interview dates is done

during the first two weeks of May. We should both be fine and in line for

June interview dates.

Sigh ---- I received an email yesterday from the NVC which looked like a reply to an email I had sent approx. 1 month ago as it contained a request to find my Dad's AOS. Yesterday's email also stated the civil documents were incomplete and to follow the checklist blah blah. At first I thought it was generic, but I called. I think it was Kerry that I spoke to and she was really nice. She told me the Irish police certificates were missing for both parents and also my marriage certificate. She then looked further at my Dad's case and said that my birth certificate was missing and his marriage cert. The originals were all put in my Mum's case with a sticky note on the photocopy in my Dad's explaining where the original was. I also had a cover sheet with a table of contents indicating where the originals were located. Still, they couldn't follow these instructions. She went back and looked at my Mum's and said that she could immediately review for the missing birth cert and Dad's marriage cert as they were clearly there in my Mum's file.

Then she goes on to tell me I have to have an Irish police certificate for each parent. I once again launched into the spiel that they live in Northern Ireland which is part of Great Britain and they are not Irish, have never lived in Ireland and their embassy is London, so why would they need an Irish police certificate. Their passport states that they are British. Their birth certificates state they were born in N.Ireland. Their DS-260's state that their addresses are all N.Irish which is Great Britain!

Now once again we are under supervisor review to try and get this mess sorted out. I hope that they really haven't lost my marriage certificate. Its printed on two pages and has the embossed stamp at the bottom so I am wondering did they just miss the stamp and discharge it thinking it was a photocopy.

Now it has become a race to get case complete before the next round of interviews are given out.
