Can someone please help me to answer this question on DS 260?

Do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccinations in accordance with U.S. law?

If you have not received vaccinations when you were a child (or do not have documents to prove it) you should answer NO. Then explain, that vaccination records not available and will be done during Medical.

Also, it is much better to take the vaccinations in a vaccination clinic or with a family physician before the actual Medicals - much cheaper and you can space it out over several weeks. Then carry this documentation to the Medicals. If you are still missing a few, they can give them during the Medicals.

How come I came across some forums that say they received their case numbers after three weeks? Also, the lady operator told me I do not have to call NVC because they will send the case number once it is available. What did you, guys, do? Thanks!

When did NVC receive your case? When you call they will be able to give you the 'official' receipt date. From that date it could be 3 to 6 weeks (more likely about 4 weeks) to get the Case # and IIN. So you have to keep calling them at least once a week. Meanwhile make sure your AOS and IV packages are in 'ship-shape' and ready to be Express mailed. Any delay on your part will only delay the Case Complete.

has anyone calculated the average time in NVC for those without a checklist? Just wondering if it is around 30 days- if so, maybe i can get cased complete for my birthdday on 27th april, that would be sooooo COOL.

I've not called NVC since i got my case number, i dont feel there is any point until i get closer to the expected time frame- but I see you all call a lot.. maybe i should be too? thoughts?

I think timeline wise you are getting very close to Case Complete. I think you should call them once everyday. It could happen very very soon.

Many a folks here suggest to get the vaccinations done in a clinic before the medical itself, but to be very frank, i always have a doubt in mind regarding this.

1. If i get the vaccination in a clinic, will they be acceptable (i mean will they be according to US standards). Also, am ready to pay more to the doctor during medicals, but don't want to get extra vaccinations again if the doctor says that its not according to US standards (which they can obviously say, to make money).

2. I am not sure about the exact list of the vaccination to get (don't want to get unwanted ones ).

3. If i get the vaccination from outside and during medicals doctor accepts the same, it may happen that he mentions this in the report and thus, embassy guys will reject it saying that it should be from the hospital they mentioned on the website.

I just got off the phone with Gus... was on hold for nearly 40 minutes and plenty of busy signals prior to that.

Maybe their lines are so full of people on hold right now that they realize they can't take more before the midnight hour hits and they all turn into pumpkins for the night:)

Could tell me that one package was 'received' April 18, but not which one, and is aware I've sent in all documents... time to wait a bit longer

Yeah I figured the same thing, plus there is always that "Monday rush" after the weekend. Only reason I called tonight is because I should be getting a CC any day now (fingers crossed).

I got Gus a few times and he is awesome. Glad to know your case keeps cruising along! You're right on schedule!

Yes you can. You just need to clearly mark and separate each package with their respective cover sheet if you are sending them in the same envelope. It will not hold the process per se but a lot of people here like to send each packet as soon as possible so that NVC may start reviewing right away.

Koekoe, my documents arrived at NVC on April 10, and were not scanned into the system until April 15th. Looks like it takes 4-5 days. Try to call again tomorrow.

so called today again and one lady confirm that my parents iv packages are received as of today april 21st.

but she said i need to wait 30 business day to get reviewed.

so i have a question?

my AOS received on april 8.

my IV received on april 21.

so do i need to count 30 business day separately??

can you suggest me when should i call again to hear wonderful words Case complete by hoping no check lists.

We have the same NVC timeline. I think you'll get CC before me because of my lawyer's errors but at least I'll know when its coming !!!

EP is optional for China and Canada, required for Turkmenistan, Jordan, Syria (operations there indefinitely suspended), Yemen, and Mexico (if case number starts with MEP).

Xprecious, did you call NVC to find out that your AOS and DS-260 were accepted or did you get an email?

I'm really confused about the email thing - I gave NVC our emails when they gave me our case number and IIN. To this date, neither of us, NOR our attorney, has received ANY emails. Not when our invoices were available. Not when they received/scanned our AOS or IV packets.

I stayed on top of NVC and paid the invoices as soon as they were available. Should I be worried about not getting ANY emails? When do emails normally get sent?

I called NVC today and our civil documents were scanned in on the 15th so we should be receiving case complete on or around the same day. It's a little difficult for me to call because my 6 month old is teething and attached to me at the hip 24/7, so I will be following you for an update.

It's more like a 4-week average wait for a case# right now. Did NVC confirm they received your file from USCIS yet?

Do not wait for NVC to send you anything. Start calling once a week now and then more often when you get to your 4-week wait mark.
