Debits from your bank account only happen on banking days. So...if you paid on Saturday, the NVC will not generate the request until Monday, which is the next banking day. Normally, the request will be presented to your bank on the First Business Day after you pay online, and the amount will be taken out in overnight processing. In your case, on Monday night, the request from NVC will be presented to your bank. IF your bank gets the request processed, the money will disappear from your account early Tuesday morning, meaning when you sign on Tuesday morning (usually after 6 a.m.), you should see the debit in your account. Your bank will send a notice to NVC saying "Here you go, NVC - here is your money." NVC then has to apply that notice to your case - which can sometimes take another 24 hours.

If you paid on Saturday, the EARLIEST you would see the "PAID" status at the NVC would be on Tuesday - and it might be on Wednesday.

See what happens tomorrow morning when you check your bank details.

Thanks a lot Sukie! That made me calm down. We got invoiced for the IV fee but I'm playing safe here. I just want the payment for the AOS be cleared first before proceeding and pay for the IV fee.

has anyone calculated the average time in NVC for those without a checklist? Just wondering if it is around 30 days- if so, maybe i can get cased complete for my birthdday on 27th april, that would be sooooo COOL.

I've not called NVC since i got my case number, i dont feel there is any point until i get closer to the expected time frame- but I see you all call a lot.. maybe i should be too? thoughts?

do you mean they will schedule you 6-8 months out? or you won't even get a date for 6-8 months?

HECK YES!!! After being on hold for 1 hr and 12 minutes we have a case number!!!! :joy:The gentleman said they just now got it into their system so for me to wait 10-20 days and that they will send me and email with instructions. My question is with me having my case number now what can I do and not do. I mean I have everything except the passport style pics for my husband and myself??

One week to the dot for me! I had my case number assigned 15 April and AOS and IV fees became available for payment today! It's 22nd already where I am

I just got off the phone with Gus... was on hold for nearly 40 minutes and plenty of busy signals prior to that.

Maybe their lines are so full of people on hold right now that they realize they can't take more before the midnight hour hits and they all turn into pumpkins for the night:)

Could tell me that one package was 'received' April 18, but not which one, and is aware I've sent in all documents... time to wait a bit longer

Can someone please help me to answer this question on DS 260?

Do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccinations in accordance with U.S. law?

Earlier i answered this question as 'YES', as if you input a 'NO' there, you will have to explain it and giving ans as 'NO' was something that gives me feeling that it can be rejected.

But then i searched forums here on VJ only and people have mixed responses.

Many of those have filled 'Yes' (reason was you will have your medicals done once you will at interview) and many as 'No' (reason was as you are filling this information right now, you don't have any proofs of this, so you should not enter as NO).

Then i liked a couple of responses that were quite meaningful and i went ahead with those.

ANSWER IS:

I selected a 'NO' with the explanation that, AS OF TODAY, I DON'T HAVE ANY DOCUMENTATION TO ESTABLISH THAT I HAVE RECEIVED

VACCINATIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH U.S. LAW SINCE MY CASE IS STILL IN PROCESS AT THE

NATIONAL VISA CENTER. I HAVE NOT YET RECEIVED INSTRUCTIONS TO TAKE THE MEDICAL

EXAMINATION. ALL VACCINATIONS RECORDS WILL BE BROUGTH TO INTERVIEW AFTER MEDICAL EXAM IS COMPLETED.
