As you can see from my timeline, still waiting to pay , I hope will be available tomorrow! We have a lawyer and I hope he doesn't take his time, he has been on vacation since last week and the paralegal too! We can't wait for this process to be finish soon.... You will probably get your case # tomorrow, keep on calling until you get it.

There is another member on this thread that has an attorney also. Their attorney paid with money orders or certified checks and it is taking a while. Ask your attorney if they pay electronically or if they send a check. You can pay yourself even if you have an attorney.

Every time you called to NVC, Rep has to pull up your case.

They only look at your case online. They don't pull you actual file. That would take forever.

I'll call 3x per day if I want to. I paid a fee and that's why they sit there with a phone to answer...

Hi guys! Here i am again asking question about I-864. As i've said befor I'm using my brother who have a son as joint

sponsor.

My brother ( US citizen)got married to a different girl not the baby mama 4 years ago and they got divorce 2years ago. The ex-wife was already here in the US as tourist visa when they get married. And file for her after they got maried.

My question is when filling up the I-864, aside from his son from his ex girlfriend who live in a different state. does he need to include his ex-wife whom he divorced 2years ago to his number of household? Because there is a question in the form asking the number of people whom you filed affidavit of support before.

I hope i didn't make the story complicated guys.. Thanks in advance..

No, the DS-260 will become available after the IV fee has updated to PAID status on CEAC.

Hi Lovemytico, I am reading this thread daily and I know what you and others had to deal with when having a lawyer. Unfortunately, we didn't know before, but we gave the lawyer the money to make all payments( we have no choice but to wait for him) Tomorrow I will be calling the paralegal to make payment and start moving with this process! If I knew about VJ family before we could have done it ourselves. Our case is not complicated at all and we paid him $5,000 I am also worried that he wants to wait for instructions from NVC. Hmm, that's weird. Try putting the word spoiler in brackets [ ] in front of what you want and then /spoiler inside brackets [ ] at the end of what you want. See if that works instead.

Yes if he filed and affidavit of support for her and she did not leave the country, become a citizen, die, or work 40 work quarters, he must also count her on his affidavit of support.

So right now his household count would be, HIM, his child, his ex-wife... is he married right now?

You mean physically taking your application package out of the storage area to check it? If so, I can see someone forgetting to put your case back if they get distracted. I thought they were just looking at your info on a screen.

I guess there is no harm asking them general questions (instead of case specific questions) if they don't need to retrieve your application package from the storage area.

BTW what's the difference between general questions and case specific questions?

I can't wait for tomorrow morning to call her ask about my status.

We got email from NVC last Tuesday and I gave both Money orders to my Attorney on same day.

I am goanna freaking out if she still didn't submit my MO to NVC.
