Hey guys!

We were just approved last week and our file was send out on Friday. I am ready to hit the ground running for the NVC stage :dance: so this part seems to take about 2-3 months until scheduling an interview?

Congrats on the approval! As the NVC stage it's a lot quicker than USCIS.. for sure! It will be about 30 business days to get a case # assigned, (as they say). Just follow the spreadsheet on Saylin's first post on this thread. It's in her signature. If you want to be added, that link is right next to it. Make sure you have your timeline filled out on your Visa journey profile though! The NVC wiki is there as well..! Read it.. Most of the answers will probably be there already! :P. The spreadsheet under Saylin's signature helps you get more of an idea how fast the NVC is going :).

10th Sep 2014- Visa in hand

Your application should arrive at NVC next week or in two weeks. You'll need to wait about a month to get your case number. -_-

The current average NVC timeline is 54 days from receiving your case number according to the NVC spreadsheet. :)

I have a feeling that you and I will finish the NVC stage around the same time. :dance:

You still can't pay your invoices??? I received the email saying they were available on a Friday around 4 pm... I was able to pay Saturday in the afternoon. I waited till 8pm because I was still wondering if I should wait for the lawyer to pay or if I should just go for it. After a conversation with my husband, he told me to just go ahead ( as did a few people on this thread) I am glad I did .. I am sure I'd still be waiting.

Point of the story is... mine became available on a Saturday afternoon. I have a feeling Monday is your day!

I don't understand why they are making people wait so long for a case number.

Thanks Marcela! How is everything going for you guys so far?

As you can see from my timeline, still waiting to pay :clock: , I hope will be available tomorrow! We have a lawyer and I hope he doesn't take his time, he has been on vacation since last week and the paralegal too! We can't wait for this process to be finish soon.... You will probably get your case # tomorrow, keep on calling until you get it.

I was able to pay AoS fee Thursday afternoon and I then overnighted the AoS packet to NVC. They received it Friday at 11:49 AM.

I completed DS261 Wednesday and then the IV fee was invoiced Friday around 08:00 PM but I'm still not able to pay IV fee yet.

I hope I'll pay the IV fee Monday and then I'll overnight the IV packet as soon as I get the PCC and court certificate. In the mail from Morocco since Wednesday. Hopefully I'll get them Tuesday or Wednesday.

Things are moving pretty good right now. I hope I get a CC first week of May for a June interview!!!!!

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Feels kind of lonely being the only one :).

I just received a letter from USCIS stating they sent my I-130 to NVC so I'm a bit away from and interview. :(

Do you know how long they're taking for interviews, I read somewhere it's taking a long time. I'm hoping this

isn't true. I'll be saying a prayer for you that all goes well in the interview. Alhamdulillah.

The interview, I hear it's taking long too but I am not sure how long

Every time you called to NVC, Rep has to pull up your case. :oops:

You mean physically taking your application package out of the storage area to check it? If so, I can see someone forgetting to put your case back if they get distracted. I thought they were just looking at your info on a screen. :bonk:

I guess there is no harm asking them general questions (instead of case specific questions) if they don't need to retrieve your application package from the storage area. :unsure:

The US government exclusively uses IE for everything. If you don't use IE when paying or checking or filling out forms, you risk having it not save, not work, etc... If it works in another program you're lucky. :)

If you start a new job you are REQUIRED to do this, it's not just a "maybe we should." :) So yes, this is an excellent idea. :)

Thank you, I wonder why they don't make it so it works with at least IE and Foxfire doesn't make sense but then little does that they are

involved in. ;)
