That's interesting. Some people fill out the "shorter" and "easier" version of DS-260, but then others may fill out the "longer" and "more difficult" version of the form. I wonder why NVC does it.

I guess some people get lucky, but others get unlucky. That's life? Just like lucky ones got transferred to CSC, but not so lucky ones got TSC and NSC. Since I got NSC and haven't been so lucky in this immigration process, I may end up filling out the "longer" version of DS-260.

Well, fingers crossed for the "shorter" version. Maybe I've used up all my bad luck and the curse is gone.

Where do you guys go to pay the processing fees once you have your case number and invoice number?

I just have Saylin's wiki shortcutted to my desk-top, and I open it and go to the payment portal (link 7) near the top of the page. Plus it's a great opportunity to reread more information from her wiki to ensure it sticks:)

I think you just have to include the new cover sheet and what they requested. I don't have experience with checklists yet so I may be wrong.

Does my sponsor need to submit their proof of US citizenship along with the joint sponsor?

Sponsors have submitted US proof with the I-130 petition, so it would be the joint sponsor, who must always submit this proof with the AOS.

Your checklist also appears to say you didn't include page 9? All pages need to be submitted together:)

Yes, you send the original birth certificate and a photocopy with the IV package, then they'll return the original at the interview.

The questions in the DS-260 you've referred to are indeed for the information found on your passport bio page.

Just say to yourself, everything is for a reason and God willing you will get a great counselor for the interview. Just take a deep breath know it will be soon and in it's time. I know it's not easy because I'm living it still and am not as close as I would like.

Called NVC yesterday, and operator told me that both packet IV and AOS has been entered into the system and are being reviewed.

AOS was delivered on 6th and IV on 14th April to NVC. I asked if there is any checklist so i was told that as its still being reviewed they don't know it.

Any idea when will i get a CC????

I think you meant the 'shorter' I-864-EZ vs. the 'longer' I-864. The DS-260 is pretty long and there is no shorter way out.

Wow! it is exactly a year from your NOA1 date. You deserve to get CC very soon. Give them about 2 weeks. I would say around the 28th April and then a June interview. My best wishes.

No, Austin was referring to a discussion that has been ongoing the last couple of days about how some people filling out the ds-260 online seem to get a slightly shorter form than others, requiring a little less "historic" data about jobs and education.

Just thinking if i shud inform my employer when i get interview date and resign also. As i need to serve 2 mnths notice when i resign,can't wait this much long time when i have already visa in hand.
