From the timing of the emails, our friend "Joy" is on the early shift. Maybe it's better to call late at night! When does Agent "Gus" seem to answer the phone????

Sukie

Been calling at 8 Pacific time and so far they are all so sweet and kind. Don't think I'll ever call early if I can avoid it, don't need Miss Nasty Pants to make my day horrible. :secret:

This Visa Journey to be joined with our family's becomes a magnificent obsession. (L)

God bless you my friend your one of a kind! (F) (F) (F) One for each of you. :)

The guys who answer at night are the nicest ones !

Joy is the morning shift and wins the NASTY PANTS prize. Reese is also morning shift and is borderline nasty. Cindy was excellent this morning. Alan at night is great too !

I always thank the ones who are so nice ! I tell them I really appreciate it !

OMG I do the same thing and they deserve and should know we appreciate them. I think the girls name tonight was Maritza and she was a doll and when I thanked her I could feel her blushing from the other side of the phone she thanked me and said you just call any time you feel like it that's what we are here for. Very sweet.

Aww thank you Soloenta! Happy to know that you're a daddy's girl and a momma's world too, so cute! I'm sure it was very hard on you and your parents not to see you in two years.

I like the cumbia dance idea lol. We plan to skype daily and also have my parents apply for tourist visas so they can go visit me and my husband soon. Thank God we're in the same continent and thank God for skype!

Good luck to you too! :goofy:

Awwww thank you, it was difficult but Skype made it so much better to be able to see them that's for sure.

By the way Viva Colombia, Viva Ecuador! ;) hahahaaa Good luck to you I'll be praying for you. (F)(L)

just called and talked to Paige. Another SUPER NICE person. very helpful. I ask the same question to all the operators I talk to .

1. Did I make a mistake by sending the revised AOS before the incorrect AOS was reviewed?

No, I was about to suggest that you send it in right away if you know what the mistakes were. You saved yourself time

2. will they just process the revised version and finish processing the rest?

Yes, it was a good thing that you sent the new AOS right away.

3. what about the DS260? I didn't put 10 years employment history for my husband?

that is fine, you can just add that info at the interview.

So She gave me the same answers as Alan did last night. Joy is the only one who told me not to do anything until I get the checklist. ( ole' Nasty Pants)

I know I am obsessing but I am so stressed over this. And the lawyer hasn't even called me asking where the documents are so he can send them. What a waste of money

DITTO

It's a good obsessed and it's for a loved one so nothing wrong with that. When my time comes I'll do the same thing. :P;)(F)

'I have filed a Federal tax return for each of the three most recent tax years.I have attached the required photocopy or transcript of my Federal tax return for only the most recent tax year.'

Should this box in I864 FORM be checked if the petitioner had been working only for past 1 year?

Yes. If the person was not required to file then they need to include a letter stating why they were not required for file (made under the amount, were unemployed, in school etc...)

Ok, I have questions. Do they fingerprint you at your interview??? Ok, next question. Saylin the police cert I am sure you are familiar with in Canada are on a long yellow form. Well back when my husband was told at the border that he needed a waiver to visit the US I think that all that came up on their screen was that he had a assault charge. They had no way of knowing what kind of assault because on the yellow form all it says is assault. But when he applied for the waiver he had fingerprinting done and a more detailed report he received that stated it was assault 266cc which is simple assault which is why he was granted the waiver . I just read that as a general rule, simple assault or battery is not deemed to involve moral turpitude for purposes of the immigration laws. So this is giving me hope that we will not be denied a visa at our interview. If they see it was just a simple assault and not a crime of moral turpitude how could they ask us to get a waiver. I wish i could get answers. I am not sleeping well at all.

They use an electronic fingerprint system.

If he was convicted he will also need the court records, not just the fingerprint records.

BTW each police check is different. The one I got from the RCMP looks different than ones people have obtained from commissionaires.

We have all his court records and his police certificate. I read that they will fingerprint him at the consulate. Is this correct?

Checklist for passport police clearance form from India for my husband who is an Indian passport holder. He now has to go to India to get this. I ask led the damn NVC if he can get a case complete and present this passport police clearance at the interview in London embassy (when he gets an interview date) they said no that the passport police clearance is required document at NVC for the case to move forward. The NVC has a letter from the district police commissioners office already with his file, but they say that's not enough. So my husband has to go to India he made appoint at the Indian passport office in India on May 13, to get this done.

You dont need an appointment to get the PCC at the passport office. You can show up anytime between 9AM and 12PM.

In order to facilitate submission of passport applications at Passport Seva Kendras (PSKs), some types of services such as'Tatkaal', Police Clearance Certificates and some distinct categories of applicants such as senior citizens, minors and differently-abled applicants are allowed to submit their duly registered online applications with ARN as Walk-in applicants. Applicants coming under these categories are also required to submit their applications online and obtain an ARN, and then visit the nearest Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) during prescribed hours (no prior appointment is required). In addition, applicants should also refer to any advisory issued by the concerned Passport Offices from time to time.

I am very surprised they wont let you bring the PCC to the interview, my wife was able to do that but that might be because of mumbai consulate rules.

((((((((((theluckygirl)))))))))) no they don't care one bit and I'm so sorry this happened. I know they have to follow the rules but there must be some measure of compassion in cases like this. Shame on them. May I ask when your due? I'll be praying he makes it home for the birth of your baby. (F)

Really sad for what happened, but I have something sadder for you. Please look at yr husband`s passport. If your name is not endorsed in his passport then first he will have to apply for reissue of passport which will take 20 days and after getting new passport only the passport office will give Police clearance certificate.

I had to face the same thing. But I got PCC done before I-130 approval.
