Wow - 200 pages in the April thread, and we're just at Day 17!!!

Hi NoelAnne how did you managed to fill DS260 without IV fee, and how is I-130 send so fast in Embassy, can you give me some hints? Is that possible after AOS package to send the I-130 in Embassy?

Whooooo got case numbers!!!!!! She didn't give me the IIN number though said they will send out instructions in couple of weeks??? She was sooo rude!

Ignore her and call back tomorrow for the invoice identification number Once you have the IIN you can start monitoring the CEAC portal, and probably within a week you'll see the DS-261 ready for you. Never wait for NVC's instructions, they'll cost you weeks.

Call back and hopefully you'll get somebody else who can give you the IIN #.

Don't wait for the email, I got my case # 10-Apr-2014, no emails yet. I was only able to complete DS261. AoS fees are not invoiced yet.

Juts got off the phone with NVC. They said that I should receive emails for AoS and DS261 next week.

The thing is, I already filled out DS261. I guess NVC customer service does not see everything, just like USCIS.

Anyway, still have to wait for AoS fees to be invoiced.

Well you don't have to, but it certainly helps if you do. When I first got my case number they already had my email address on file, but when I asked if I could provide the beneficiary's, I was told they couldn't do that in the system yet. I called back a day or two later and asked them to add it in then.

yup- i am close behind you- i was also going to call this week, but maybe i won't bother since I bet they say the same thing they just told you. I suppose it does not matter if we hear by phone or not right? Since we get our interview date by email and it won't be sooner or later if we keep calling to find out- although we would know sooner and be able to make plans for our interviews- ours is London, so a flight down from Scotland. SO annoying there is not a consulate in Edinburgh!

Hi guys! Question about I-864 for joint sponsor. I'm using my brother as joint sponsor coz i dont meet the 125 percent poverty guideline.

He have a 12 y/o son with his ex gf who lives in another state. Now on the question, number of household, does he need to include his son on the number of household eventhough he doesn't claim him as dependent on his tax return ever? Any help will be appreciated guys, thank you!

I got the case number and invoice number for my stepdaughter yesterday. I already paid the fees and am preparing the AOS paperwork...I thought my wife's number would follow today, but so far nothing. Surely they sent the files together from USCIS! I hope they didnt get separated!

A divorced parent's dependent children are members of his/her household, even if they live

part of the time with the former spouse. Even if only one of the parents may be legally

entitled to claim the child as a dependent on tax returns, the child must be considered as

part of both parent's households for purposes of the Affidavit of Support, unless you can

show that you no longer have a legal obligation to support the child.
