I received an email saying the fees were available to pay online on April 4th but was not able to pay until April 5th ( saturday). Only 4 days after I got my case number. I don't understand why it is taking so long for everyone to get a case number and pay fees.. Why are they playing games? I guess its how they control the flow.

I think it is their way of controlling the flow as you said.

I just called NVC and I spoke to JOY.

She said that it takes 2 weeks for AoS fees. BS but I had nothing to say to her.

I guess I have to wait again

Timeline

Apparently NVC was just waiting for me to lose all hope, sit back and get comfortable before throwing us for a loop. Yesterday evening we received an email notification for a May 19 interview in London. We're very surprised, very excited, and also a bit stressed as we accelerate the timeline to get ready for the move ;) I feel a little bad line jumping out of the June interview group, because I know how left behind I felt watching others do the same. I wish I could assign you all interview dates myself. The wait sucks, but you're so close to the end now. I can't wait to see each of you sharing your good news as it comes :)

Bit of a tangent here, but something I've been thinking about... with our interview date scheduled and everything suddenly so near at hand, I'm finding myself more and more in awe of the incredible sacrifices all the beneficiaries (or applicants, to use the NVC-appropriate term!) here are making for their spouses. I'm so full of love and appreciation for everything my husband is doing to bring our lives together, and I know many of the members here are bound to have even more difficult situations and transitions than we're expecting. I give you guys all the credit in the world. You're amazing. The love and commitment it takes to survive this process and THEN give up everything you've known in life except your spouse is incredible. I hope you all have wonderful, supportive, thankful partners, because you sure as heck deserve it.

Yeah, I'm feeling warm and fuzzy :luv:

Congratulations for making it to the May interview schedule. When I started the process I had no idea as to how involved, complex, time consuming this process is. Also had no idea as to how long the wait will be. VJ and its members like you made the journey possible. I cannot imagine now how we could have negotiated this w/o you guys. Thank you.

Aww I just read this! I love you, you are amazing too you know (L)

:o The jig is up, I've been outed!

I think a few of you may have put it together already based on our timelines, but anyone who hasn't, don't worry, that's my husband ;) I've been so fortunate every step of the way to have a partner fully involved and invested in the process. Thanks to everyone for your kind words in response to my previous post. This is a great community that I know a certain otter and I are very glad to be a part of :D

NVC took 88 dollars from account for AOS fee but still shows "in process" .. Is it ok if I send in the AOS documents even though it still shows "in process"...

Yes, as long as the money is gone from your account you're ok to send in the paperwork.

I called today, to confirm that they had received our AOS and IV packages. I sent the AOS a week before I sent the IV, both FedEx. She told me that that had received "mail" but couldn't tell me what package it was. Going by when it was logged in, it's the IV package. Should I just re-send all the AOS stuff, or is it possible that they were logged in together?

If your FedEx tracking shows your AOS was delivered, then it is delivered. They just take a week or more to actually 'touch' it and then some more to open it and review it.

Same with the IV package. The FedEx tracking will show when it was physically delivered. Please share some of these dates in your Signature so we have a better understanding as to what is going on ... Thanks.

You are right at the 4 week mark. You should get it any day now. Keep calling them ...

Absolutely. Do not walk but run to the post office and Express Mail that package. :)

I hate how they give out that broad timeline. they just let them sit in a corner and take one pile at a time. I wish I knew who put a yellow expedite sticky on my file . I would love to thank them.

I wonder if they made us wait 11 months to see if our relationship is real.... since this is not the first time I petitioned for someone... So much ####### goes through my head these days. I think my head makes up scenerios and I start believing them .. Mental disorder caused by the immigration process.

I agree with you 100%! my mind makes up scenarios also and I tend to believe them!

I remember I had a heated conversation over teh phone with JOY some I'm thinking may be she tagged my file and her friends at the NVC are punishing me for that! who knows???

Aw, many congratulations!! Yes, it was only when I got my interview date that I began to feel a little scared of what lies ahead. It's a whole new life, leaving behind family and friends and your everyday routine. It's all a little overwhelming. Right now I'm feeling emotionally exhausted, I've allowed myself to really relax, mentally, for the first time in months. Delighted you've got a May interview. You were the very first VJ'er I saw when I joined Visa Journey. The very best of luck in your new life. X

so NVC has confirmed they received my AOS on 4/1 and DS260 4/5 but she said to allow 30 business days just to review them? Is this what others are being told on the phone? I called last week and then today and both times they said the same thing to allow NVC 30 business days to review my documents.

She also said they would email me once they have been reviewed.
